    Adam and I crossed paths at the Key Person of Influence Boat Party. I knew then that there was something special about the man. The moment I gazed into his eyes, I knew he was different from the many people that fortune has brought my way. I had a deep sense that our paths had crossed before, and for a reason. I got to know Adam that evening. His soul was lost in a vortex of dark experiences, and he was searching for a way out. The more I probed him, the more uncomfortable – yet curious – he became. He was in need of a teacher, a good mentor to help him navigate through the noise, fears, and distractions that life presented to him.

    When I first began coaching Adam, his behaviour, thought patterns, and the way he saw the world informed me about his extreme inner discord, pain, and loneliness. His opinions, beliefs, and values were strongly dictated by the nature of our duality. He held strong beliefs about life and people, and he saw veganism as the only healthy choice through which the world would become a better place. Pain, rejections, and deep anger were his constant companions. He tried hard to hide them from people he hung around with.

    Over the last two years, I learned about his heart-wrenching story, his upbringing, his experiences, and the reasons Adam saw the world as a hostile place. Adam became extremely committed to the deep spiritual work that addressing his issues required.

    With time, Adam became better at transcending issues that arose from the same emotional pain that kept him in his self-made prison.

    Despite the many difficulties, lies, and deceptions he faced, Adam remained committed, consistent, and eager to get to the root of every adversity. As time passed, I witnessed the way he freed himself from the many limiting beliefs, fears, and conditioning that had been preventing him from honouring his personal values. The deeper he went within himself, the more he was able to eliminate unresourceful parts of his consciousness. He also came closer to his own strength, buried deep beneath a hurdle of life adversities. His perception of himself widened, and his heart’s authentic voice became louder.

    A free voice emerged – a life-changing breakthrough that gave birth to the energy rebalancing therapy that he now uses to help others find their place of inner balance.

    I welcomed the opportunity to go to Mexico and co-author a book. We had an amazing time, but I was divinely guided to stop co-authoring the book and help him articulate his own unique energy rebalancing manual.

    After personally witnessing his shifts in consciousness, ways of thinking, being, and expanding his capacity to love, I knew that unlike his first attempts at authorship, this book would be exceptional.     Introduction

    We enter this world as creators, architects, magicians, artists, and lovers. We assume roles as parents, friends, and family, providing mirrors for one another to expand.

    We become more through becoming less. You must simply learn to let go gradually, bit by bit, of all the things that block your authentic self from radiating. You may wonder what you need to do. Right now, all you need is to reconnect to a part of yourself that we have all had since childhood. This is referring to the pure, innocent, and playful elements we all have – the components that allowed us to grow and mature. We can still use them now. Give yourself the gift of a blank canvas and become a curious child again.

    Through the curious eyes of a child, you will uncover a unique balancing system and gain the wisdom you need to identify the separations within you that cause suffering. You may notice a sensation of tuning into yourself, of letting go, as opposed to acquiring extra knowledge that burdens you with additional baggage.

    We innately know when something is right for us and when it is not. You only need to let go of the obstructions blocking that flow of wisdom within you. Then you will once again be able listen to your body and honour what you hear from your centred self – your heart.

    To do this, you will learn the simple, fun, and visual model of the energy rebalancing methodology known as the Divine Scale. The Divine Scale is just like an old-fashioned supermarket scale, and it keeps your experience balanced and moving in a good, sustainable, and safe way.

    Imagine you are at the supermarket buying 111 grams of blueberries but instead of paying the actual price for the weight, you are charged for 133 grams of blueberries. This may leave you feeling upset.

    In a similar way, if you’re not balancing the energies of your life, you will be charged extra and fall out of balance. The more energy you are balancing, the higher your vibration. We learn these universal balancing principles at the ground level to avoid a cosmic crash. Again, believe me, you don’t want to crash …

    The only difference between a supermarket scale and The Divine Scale is that The Divine Scale is, of course, divine—it represents you and is comprised of a few more secret features. Using this model, you can measure all the experiences you have in your life in five core energetic categories, which are represented by weights that sit on opposite sides of your Divine Scale. These weights represent two inseparable energies or forces working in an exchange, a multidimensional modern-day yin/yang.

    The behaviours that cause the obstruction and that lead you to fall out of balance are also in five core behavioural categories. You will gain the ability to identify them in yourself through your interactions, feelings, and stories.

    When you use the five destructive behaviours, your weights fall unevenly upon your Divine Scale, and you experience the side effects that come from living out of balance. You may feel frustrated, disempowered, and out of control; you may develop a range of physical, emotional, and relationship pains.

    Mastering the art of living in balance can make all the difference in living the life you always wanted, starting from within. Why choose to live in suffering, in a dark hole, disempowered and frustrated with everything you experience?

    It is time to start your journey towards balance and to bring awareness of your own hands on the steering wheel. As you do so, and you accept responsibility for your experience, you will be given directions, an instruction manual, and an experienced co-pilot (me) during every step of this journey from baggage to balance.

    This book provides an unbiased and balanced viewpoint for you to make your own choices. This is your space to grow.

    How to read this book

    Read this book in the order it is written. You will then build your wisdom in an organic way.

    Each chapter will feed you in the sequence I designed.

    I start by sharing a little of my own journey to balance through hardship. I believe that any expansion journey requires a trusting relationship; therefore, I share what I believe is most relatable, including the pains and core struggles of life. I know you have had yours, and we can see straight away the other side of these experiences as they unite us and carry us forward, from the dark and into the light.

    In the first two chapters of this book, I am laying the foundations for the journey ahead. You will explore the components described in this introduction before taking that practical wisdom through key areas of your life experience from chapter 3 onwards, starting with your relationships.

    Towards the end of this book, you will find yourself in a position to apply a powerful balancing tool, the energy rebalancing process. This five-step process can assist you in addressing the emotional pains you experience in life, and balance them presently. Balance may be achieved in as little as three steps, but the full five steps, if done properly, using the base of understanding this book provides, increase the chances of achieving balance.

    Why have I written this book?

    I wrote this book for all the people who have worked hard or are working hard to create something in life. I believe that not many people truly feel what it is like to live day to day as you do, to feel as you do, and to do the things you do. It is not always easy. In fact, sometimes it may be hard to move and to simply carry on. I believe that we all need all the help we can get, and if nothing else, if this book helps you relate and serves as a loving reminder that you are not alone, then I am happy.

    My own experiences inspired me. After crashing and reinventing myself six times, I have experienced first-hand the destructive effects of living out of balance and have created this map to stay in balance.

    The journey helped me realise that what I thought I was looking for was not something outside of me but within me. I would like to share this with you. It is a power that never fades and, like love, has no end.

    My Journey to Balance

    Today, I am fortunate to have found my path and live in my space of balance, being of service to those seeking balance. But this was not always the case. Looking back in time, the first time I remember feeling out of balance was around the age of six. Back then, of course, I knew very little of what balance meant. However, I still knew that what I was experiencing did not feel right. I kept hearing the arguments my parents were having with one another. I cannot recollect having a family meal or having the love and care that a normal child would have had.

    By the time I was eight, the one source of comfort I found in nature – living close to a river and the woodlands that I loved – was removed from my life. We moved into a colder, harder, and more concrete environment, where I started public schools. I was placed in an environment with other children with whom I did not fit in. Striving to adapt to my school and changing myself to do so, I soon forgot about the nature I loved as I disconnected and fell out of balance.

    This led to drastic changes in my behaviours as I sought attention and validation. I would get into fights with other children and end up closing down to emotionally separate myself from my family. I got involved in shoplifting and smoking and became a gang member for two years.

    One day a young girl came to my house and told my parents all that I was doing. This came as a shock to my parents. They sat me down and talked to me in order to instil right and wrong in me. From that day on, I saw how being in gangs wasn’t for me, and although I left the gang, there was nothing to replace it.

    This empty feeling inside led me to become even more isolated. I continued to attract violence, which back then I thought of as a misfortune that happens to everyone.

    At the age of eleven, we moved three more times. This stifled my sense of belonging and brought me even further away from feeling in balance. Wherever we moved, I ended up becoming a protector for many of the kids who were being bullied, which put me in the spotlight and attracted a lot of unwanted attention. I started martial arts and learned to fight to be able to survive as well as to be able to protect those around me.

    Even at this age, I knew my strongest point wasn’t going to be school and learning the normal subjects. My passion then was to learn martial arts and acrobatics and be able to survive on the streets. I wanted to feel I was somebody and that I had accomplished something, and through pushing my limits and going to extremes, I thought I could show the world I had done something.

    From the age of sixteen, I had already experienced what it was like to feel betrayed and cheated and to lose those close to me. I moved out of my parents’ home and started making my own way in the world. My physical passions I used to numb myself while growing up had become my life. I achieved my black belt in tae kwon do, training every day to reach my goal of entering the Olympics with the help of my coaches. My acrobatics, stunts, and free running became a big part of my life and my only known release from the deep pain I held silently within – feelings of aloneness, worthlessness, anger, and deep sadness.

    It was also from the age of sixteen that I had broken nine bones in my body. I could never do any of the sports I loved or be without pain again in my life. I was on my own, with my coping mechanisms gone. That’s when I started the long and painful journey to learning all about myself, how I came to be in this position, and more importantly, how I could get out of it.

    I dropped out of college and took a full-time job in an office to support myself and pay my bills. I remember that for the first six months, I had to travel on my crutches up to six hours a day just to get to my job and back. That left little time for myself. This situation, of course, was not sustainable, and I eventually stopped going. I felt I was falling ever deeper into a hole, but I could not bring myself to express it to anybody. I felt ashamed. On a few occasions, I would spend nights on the streets and sleeping on rooftops, not wanting to be seen and keeping the struggle to myself.

    I would steal the food I needed to eat, and I fell ever deeper into a pit of low self-worth, hopelessness, and feeling disconnected. My sole aim was to get through each day, with no thoughts of the bigger picture. I held a deep-down belief that I would never amount to anything in life. That’s what I had been told on many occasions, so I lived my life to those standards.

    The only things I had ever come to feel passionate about were nature, my performance, and helping people. I felt I had ruined my physical body, but I decided I wanted to try to rehabilitate it as much as I could, and in the process find a way to give back to others. With that vision, I got back my drive and worked hard. I invested in courses to become qualified as a personal trainer and sports and Swedish massage therapist. I also became qualified in nutrition and trigger-point therapy, and I started working and learning from other therapists, healers, and coaches from all around the world.

    From the age of sixteen, I started working with my first massage clients and looking at the physical aspects of releasing stress and tensions. Within one year, what I was learning and applying not only helped me feel of worth by giving back, but it also helped me rehabilitate my body. I was up and running again. By the age of eighteen, I had my body back to full strength and beyond. Through my mental and emotional conditioning over those two years, I quickly gained back all of my physical ability.

    In addition to my work with people, I became a professional performer and developed my urban acrobatics, stunt, and martial arts skills to global standards, performing in live shows around the world and appearing often in music videos, on TV, and in the cinema, as well as setting a world record in strength. I also was starting to feel the first signs of balance returning to my life.

    At the age of eighteen, I got my first real place and entered my first long-term relationship. To support myself and my lifestyle, which was slowly but surely becoming more responsible, I found a job working in a running store. Within six months, I was managing the place. I was also running my massage business and working as a performer.

    For the first time in my life, the people around me – my friends and family – were proud of me and considered me an unlikely success. For a while, I felt comfortable with what I was doing, and I enjoyed living up to the standards of those around me. I planned to continue building as I was. I planned to one day marry the woman I was with and make my family proud.

    However, after time, I began experiencing signs from my body that something wasn’t quite right. I couldn’t shake it. I started to tune in and realise that what people wanted for me might not be what I wanted for me. I became curious about what more there could be.

    I made some tough decisions to stay true to myself from that point forward. I started by quitting my job and leaving my place, my relationship, and even my country, deciding to try out a life living on the Greek island of Corfu. I left for Corfu with very little – just enough to buy a hat, which I used to collect coins as I hit the streets in forty-degree heat and performed acrobatics and martial arts for six hours a day on the scorching concrete.

    There were good days, and there were bad days. On the bad days, I would sleep on the streets and try again the next day. Other than that, I was living, breathing, and eating self-development. I started to meditate and develop my energetic connection. I read book after book and listened to countless hours of coaching, healing, and expanding audios to apply directly to my life as I worked hard to find myself.
