image001.jpgT HE FRONT PAGE photo was taken in August of 1993. An Ecumenical Conference was held at the South – Minster House in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. This was a conference sponsored by South Hill Interfaith Ministries and facilitated by Reverend Eretta Lyons, during her field internship program as a student at the Interdenominational Theological Center located in Atlanta, Georgia.
This meeting proved to be a success in bridging the gaps in both race, as well as denominational organizations. Dialogue and effective communication was established through a united effort of partnership among at least 30 persons of various races and religious, as well as philosophical beliefs and backgrounds. The purpose and objective of this unique gathering was to provide an opportunity for dialogue among races, as well as religious organizations and denominations.
