About this ebook

This book was separated into chapters, grouped by the type of poem it is. There were so many different things to write about. So many different stories to tell that were formed into poems. Some were funny and others were real life. This has totally been my pleasure and I look forward to more in the future. The two elegy poems I have in this book have been dedicated to my mother and my stepfather.

This book is dedicated to my seven children and may God bless them to live long and great lives. To Tyniesha M. B. Eley, Eric D. Cathey Jr., Justin J. Cathey, Keiron G. Bryant, Noron T. Bryant, Nowon L Bryant, and Kendra L. Jefferson, one big family.

My poem called, Our Mother, is dedicated to my mother, the late Frances Fornette Morrissette, may she RIP. And my poem called, Life is dedicated to my step father, Earl Morssissette, may he RIP.

    Children

    Bananas

Bananas are nutritious for us to eat

Have the best sales we can’t beat

Monkeys swinging around eating them for free

Then tossing the peelings into the sea

They taste so delicious just by themselves

Making kids dance around like little elves

You can cut them up in your cereal

Just don’t drop them and pick up a bacterial

You can eat them with other fruit

But please don’t smash them with your boots

Eating them with strawberries is delicious

And don’t forget it is also very nutritious

Here, take one to school for your snack

But don’t let it get smash in your backpack

    Don’t be Late for School

    It’s 7:00 on the dot

Don’t you hear that tick tock?

    Give me your brush

So you won’t have to rush

    From being so slow

You know it’s time to go

    Put on your earrings

    The school
