About this ebook

A lovely Easter story that can be read at any time of the year. In this book, children learn The Sign of the Cross and they are also introduced to reading Scripture Verse, Lent, Easter and the meaning of the Resurrection.
The lessons come from reading about the experiences of a little girl, her dog and her extended Italian-American, Catholic family.
With large print and bright illustrations, even very young children will be able to learn about their Catholic Faith through this heart-warming story centered around baking Easter Bread with Nana.
This is the first book in the Dawdling Teresa Series. Each story can be read independently of the others and involves simple Catechesis Lessons woven into the story and experiences of Dawdling Teresa and Big Brown Dog. There is always a Glossary of new words and Faith Strengthening Questions at the end of each book.
For Ages 4-8 this book series is a wonderful, fun way for Catechists and families to help children with faith formation prior to Sacramental preparation or it can be a simple gift for a child to begin to learn about the joy and true meaning of Easter in our Catholic Faith.

D. T. CAPRIO

D.T. Caprio is the grand-daughter of Italian Immigrants that came to America during the early 1900's. She has many fond memories of growing up in a very, large Italian-American family. D.T. has combined the memories of her Italian family with her deep Catholic Faith in this wonderful series of stories about Dawdling Teresa and Big Brown Dog. Involved in Religious Education since 1991, D.T. has taught 1st, 3rd and 5th grade Catechism. She loves teaching and sharing her faith, through stories revolving around her Italian-American Heritage. D.T. has spent many hours in the kitchen since she was a young girl. She loves to cook and enjoy the Italian food that is so much a part of her Italian-American background. She has also written a cookbook about keeping a Gluten Free Diet and cooking her most loved Italian Favorites. When she is not involved in writing, D.T. runs a busy Medical Practice with her husband, who is also Doctor. Like Teresa in the series, she has a Chocolate Labrador that goes everywhere with her, even to her Medical Practice to greet and comfort the many patients that she sees.
