Swirl of Emotions is about candid revelations of sweet romance, sex, human relationships, sheer promises of undying affections, commitments, believe and hope, faith and religion. It makes use of some funny animal characters, ambles their proclivity swiftly with humans to show how we dispel inhibitions when we are in the throes of a conquest. It also depicts the exchange of emotions and gait that we share and show when we unfold our need or desire for love.

Cyril Oghomeh, winner of The British Council Learn English website poetry competition, has “Chants of Euphoria” as his fourth published collection of poetry book. Other published books include - Unsullied Islands, Beaches & Landscapes, Swirl of Emotions, and Eternal Rhapsody. He obtained his Master’s degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies from the Lagos State University, Nigeria. Master's in Business Administration MBA from the University of Phoenix. Also, Graduate Project Management from the University of Phoenix. A member of NSLS (The National Society of Leadership and Success). At present, he is doing his Doctorate program in Administration with the University of Phoenix.

Introduction

At its best, if you liked my first collection of poems titled Eternal Rhapsody, you will definitely love and enjoy Swirl of Emotions. The various poems capture my understanding of what affects us as individuals, families and society at large. It goes well beyond to define human relationships, marriages, true love, heart breaks and calamities, religion, individuals, hobbies and interests, also all other social issues and ideas. Many of the poems has funny remarks, as it makes use of animal characters to convey deep emotional feelings, as depicted in such poems like the Male Argonaut and Diamond Watchman Goby, also full of information on lovely places of interest and things to do.

The more enthralled you are with my provocative innuendos such as in the Flamingo Tongue Snail, the more thrilled it eases you into more entertaining and dramatic poem like Rock Bottom. From the first poem to the last poem in the book, you are highly entertained, informed and amused by my easy to read and subtle style of writing. At every stage, there is an exchange of emotions and dialogue, as you invariably relate with the characters to your present circumstances in life.
