About this ebook

"Dimitri Bolgar has come out with his second volume of poetry, Perfidia, a lady who is perhaps the eighth Sister of Sleep and guards the "poetic avatar", a figurative drug that induces the most illuminating of catharses on its readers. Innocuously combining the view of a man of the world and scalpel-sharp technique, Mr. Bolgar succeeds in spanning the great gap between the gravest of experiences and most awesome of successes - from a creche in Plodiv to a luxurious suite in Las Vegas. The reader is treated to a restrained (and compassionate) philosophy while swimming in the ocean of life-changing thought."

To all my friends on the both sides of the ocean

    Poets

In the evening when the gentle breeze stops

    And the leaves quietly

Cower to cover their vestal new life

To spend that night in silence till dawn

    When piercing Sun rays, warming,

Awakening all creatures from ants to big cats

And rats to start the day with burning desire

    And yearning to stay alive

Like Poets, looking for their ascension

    And divine inspiration to bring

    Some meaning in our lives,

    To our wondering souls;

Creatures of reason like us should be fondling

Not folding our feelings of love,

And keep them splayed until the time comes

For procreation, in summation: The romance

Is only part of overture to start a mating game?

But it would be great if we all become Poets

And begin singing those love songs again

    And bring back the World

Where it belongs: To the human race.

    Winds of Changes

Silently my eyes are drifting into the twilight

    Of my uncontrollable imagination

Not knowing that some soporific forces

Might ruin and alter everything my

Subconscious mind already planned to do,

    Taking me
