DEDICATION
To my family; people who raised me up. To the love gurus; people who are teaching love on daily basis; families, churches, institutes, media, companions, etc. As well as everyone who is still holding onto their sense of true love so far. SALUTE!
I also send tribute to my beloved cousin and beloved younger brother who departed rapidly in January and February 2015 and my beloved grandfather who had that faith in me that I will one day be an author. May their souls continue resting in peace. SALUTE!
CHAPTER ONE
Anne: Heaven is far.
Alex: What?
Anne: Heaven is far.
Alex: I don’t follow and why do you say this after all?
Anne: You know what, when I arrive in heaven, straight on my judgement day before I get my punishment. I will ask God as to why didn’t He send me a man who could have loved me unconditional and treated me right; my Mr Right.
Alex: I wonder what will be His respond.
Anne: It’s simple.
Alex: More like complicated?
Anne: (With a deep voice) God will say my child, I sent you a man who loved you for who you are and not for what you have. I sent you your Mr Right.
Alex: You with a small voice you will say: and exactly where is he God?
Anne: Where is he, as I will be asking?
Alex: What would be His answer?
Anne: (With a deep voice) my child, every time when I send you this person you just say he is just a friend.
Alex: Is this some sort of regret?
Anne: I don’t regret about my past and all the wrong things that I have done but I regret the good things that I have done to the wrong people and the time that I have waste with the wrong people.
Alex: Then what are you trying to tell me?
Anne: Nothing but matters of the heart!
Alex: I am listening.
Anne: I lost the moon when I was busy counting the stars.
Alex: Expand on that …
Anne: I wonder where God is at times.
Alex: My sister I am not a Priest but I know that God is at someone’s back and call all the time.
Anne: I really want to believe that but right now I am really confused.
Alex: Such is life… and what exactly is bothering you?
Anne: Life in general.
Alex: What happened?
Anne: My twin I had a crush on this guy the first time I saw him. I was only 14 years by then.
Alex: Tell me more…
Anne: Then I was scared of approaching him to express my emotions on him because it is unusual for a girl to approach a boy or a woman approach a man and talk about issues of love.
Alex: Then?
Anne: I just couldn’t do anything; I then decided to let it go irrespective of how I felt about him.
Alex: What’s gone is gone, what’s done is done and what matters is what still remains.
Anne: My brother, it’s true that you shall care for what you have before it’s gone.
Alex: What exactly happened between you and this guy?
Anne: Life took place.
Alex: Hhmm…
Anne: I was scared of the embarrassments if I could tell him that I love him and if it may happen he doesn’t love me. I was scared that he would laugh at me and I also undermined myself to an extend that I felt that I was too young and he would just look at me and say I am just a child and not his type so I kept on waiting for a miracle.
Alex: Wow!
Anne: He was handsome and cute, clean and decent with a light complexion.
Alex: And…?
Anne: Like I said, life happened.
Alex: Go on…
Anne: In that life that happened, we didn’t see much of each other by then in fact we hadley saw each other and I was not having a cell phone of which made things worse.
Alex: Hhmm.
Anne: Shall I blame it on the distance? Shall I blame it on me or on God for not delivering the miracle, and will it be appropriate to blame it on me since I had no choice? I was scared and not brave enough to make the first move.
Alex: We always have a choice; it’s just that sometimes when we say we don’t have choice we mean that there are no other options left to make but to break some laws and yet we are not ready to be on the hard side of the law. We call it taking a risk.
Anne: I couldn’t sleep at night thinking about him all night long. He was all a girl could ask for.
Alex: Yooooo! I wish he knew.
Anne: I was in love with this guy. I could feel it from the palm of my heart. I was feeling love running in my veins and bones. Bra I was madly in love; my first crush. God forbid!
Alex: Amen!
Anne: You could even say that.
Alex: Hallelujah!
Anne: You know when they say God hears, sees and He will reply in His own time, it’s very much true.
Alex: God answered?
Anne: A miracle happened.
Alex: Tell me more.
Anne: I then meet another man as I was growing up; he was good looking, matured and not a liar before I knew his true colours.
Alex: Gosh, what’s his name?
Anne: Christopher, short for Chris.
Anne: I was blinded by love. I thought he loved me so I fall for his tricks.
Alex: That’s love for you girl.
Anne: He made me forget about my soul mate; Dudley, who didn’t even know I was in love with him! Even when Chris approached me, Dudley crossed over my mind but I just ignored it and never spelt it out because I knew it would be a total turn off to Chris. I was almost 19 years by then just a year after my matric.
Alex: Jeepers!
Anne: Life serious issues, things happened very fast like the golden say goes speed kills so our relationship crashed!
Alex: Just like that?
Anne: I went for what my eyes saw and ignored what my heart wanted of which was the biggest mistake I’ve ever done. I used the right words at the right moment to the wrong person.
Alex: God forbid!
Anne: I proved several times as to how much I
