About this ebook

The poems in this book is a collection written from life experiences; some tragic and some were good; and some from scriptures from sermons. Some of them were just subjects given by acquaintances in general conversations. All were interesting to start and comforting when finished.

    Who Am I

This book is dedicated to all those of you who pushed me to put my thoughts (poems) out there for others to read and possibly be helped in some way. I would try and put everyone’s name but I am afraid I would leave someone out. So to all of you, Thanks for the encouragement.

    Acknowledgements

First and foremost all praises to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, from where all my strength cometh. Thanking him for the gift that he has given me to express myself for his love in print. Also, my children Ashley, Torian, Lance and Tasia for the love, support and inspiration that they have given me through the years of indecision upon trying to put this book together. I love you guys, always know that.

To my adopted families who supported me throughout my travel as a military wife, telling me that others needed to hear what I had to say, that maybe the things I wrote about would help someone along the way. Thank you for believing in me.

A special thanks to my mother who instilled in my siblings and me the values of God. She is also the one person who always told us that we could do anything and be anything that we desired. Her words of wisdom given to us even as adults was to learn everything you can about anything you want to do in life. Education is the key.

Last but know least, thank you to my husband, for it was due to you that I started to put down on paper what I was feeling, for whether good or bad putting it on paper then reading and rereading can sometimes make everything better.

To those that are no longer hear to share with me, I know that their spirit and love is in me, for

they are always in my heart.

If I missed anyone, know that I love you and thank you as well.

We have all lost love ones along this life’s journey and when

this happens, it is sometimes hard to face the fact that we may never see them again. We fail to realize that this is a temporary place of residence and that God has something better in mind for each one of us and that although we will miss that love one on this earth, let’s remember that God has prepared a place for each one of so that we may not only see them again, but also bask in the glory of the presence of the Lord.

    I Thessalonians 5:10

He died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.

In many ways we as humans forget that God is in control of life and death and he would never put more on us than we can bare. Besides that, whatever our grief, He has his hands on us to make us strong for ourselves and others.

    Psalms 73:24-26
