About this ebook

These writings were my way of expressing myself in my different situations. As you can see by the different writings, my mood goes from dark to light. As I grew older, my writings grew with me. I tried to be a role model to my peers and my family. My writings are an expression of my state of mind and touched a lot of peoples hearts that feel the same way I do. I learned to be a better person by using my skill of writing.

Contemplations of the Unsettled Mind
Author

Thomas Wasielewski-Mannstedt

My life was very interesting in my juvenile years. What inspires my writing is my family and making a change in my life. It helps me to express myself when I’m feeling low. I grew up in central and southwestern Minnesota with my two siblings. I learned how to become a fighter at young age due to the responsibility upon me. I started writing at the age of seventeen. My writings were inspired by my music and the environment I was in.

    "But let all who take refuge in you be glad;

let them ever sing for joy.

    Spread your protection over them,

that those who love your name may rejoice in you."

    —Psalm 5:11

    My Sister D

    I should’ve dropped you a line

But I never had the time

    Now here I’m crying

    While I’m writing this rhyme

    There’s so much to remember

    Your smile lighting the sky

    Like blazing fireworks

    On the fourth of July

    Your laugh raging loud

    Heard from miles away

    Stuck in our heads

    Like your hear today

    Your shimmering smile

    Always pressed on your face

    Glowing in the dark

    Like an angels grace

    My un-said words

    And pain they brought

    Life is too short

For all the times we fought

Here we are hoping and praying

    That we see you again

    On that final day
