    About the Author

    Acknowledgments

Normally, I acknowledge my family members and my foster children in the books I write. However, life has bought about many changes. The most important person in my life to date is Jesus. He is my Lord and Savior. I thank God for sending Him and the Holy Spirit for raising Him. He alone I acknowledge, praise, and honor.

    Preface

As I was driving home from work today, December 12, 2013, the title of this book came to my mind. I said to myself, while sitting at a few red lights, Jeanette, do you really want to start another book knowing you’ll get distracted and toss it? You know the story, so here goes. Not to sound like a broken record, however, I am tired of trifling tricks. You know those types—females who can smile in your face and cut your throat at the same time. Yes these heifers. She told a few people that you are not worth shampoo.

Ladies, this hurt me; I could not believe what I was hearing. I loved this girl as if she were one of my sisters. How could this have happened? Anyway, I called her up and confronted her over the phone, as sweet as I could be; and the trick cussed me out and hung up in my face. Sounds like guilt to me; what do you think? Why in the fishnet stockings was she in my face all these years if she could not tolerate me? Long story short, the friendship ended of course. And the question I know most of you would probably ask me is, you couldn’t see through her?

No, I could not. I was blind because she looked as if she had it all together. She was intelligent, beautiful, nice, and wealthy. Be
