About this ebook

60% of men wish to improve their sex lives, while 50% of women desire the same. The problem is how to do so. Sex is undoubtedly one of the greatest human enigmas. Everything that happens in sexual relationships appears inexplicable: relationships just happen, some people are very sexually attractive, others not so much, passions come and go, infidelity is irresistibly attractive, but short lived. The list of questions is endless…. This book presents an evolutionary focus for sexual relationships based on the fact that all sexual conduct is motivated by the need genes have to reproduce themselves. Humans are platforms for gene reproduction and if we can know what genes want, we can learn how to improve our sex lives. Are you interested in understanding the answers to the following questions? Why doesn’t love last forever? Why are we against unfaithfulness, yet we all practice or fantasize about it? Why is the attraction to be unfaithful so irresistible? Why does romantic love exist? Why do women fall in love with the wrong men? Why is being in love such a magic, sublime state? Why is sex so complicated? Which reproductive strategies differentiate man from woman? Why do women make so many mistakes in choosing? Why does courtship exist? What can women do to choose better? Why does sexual attraction exist? Why is what is sexy for one person not sexy for another? How can we improve our ability to seduce? Why is the penis shaped as it is? What is the foreskin for? Does size matter? How does sexual selection work? Why do men sometimes fall in love at first sight? Why do women need to talk in order to fall in love? Why are women attracted to men who give them diamonds? Buy this book and start to improve your sex life!

This book moves between the self-help and scientific genres.

What is the aim of this book? What might we hope to achieve? Why has the author taken the time to write and edit this book? Why ought the reader take time to read it? And hopefully finish it? Before sharing my intentions, let’s take a moment to look back. Every present has a past.

Many years ago I started to read books about human evolution, love, sex and couples. The first was THE SELFISH GENE by Richard Dawkins. It was eye-opening, enlightening. Suddenly, questions about inexplicable phenomenon in sex and love, which had plagued me for years, had reasonable, coherent explanations. A focus on evolution offered an explanation for everything and, in most cases, a way to measure it.

When disciplines such as Biology, Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology are evolutionary, reality is revealed in an entirely new way.

A New World appeared before my very eyes. If we add the word Evolutionary to the discipline Psychology, the entire world examined by psychology is given new meaning. Evolutionary Psychology allows us to see reality in another way. The same is true of Sociology, Biology and Anthropology.

With this focus, the principle that allows us a reasonable explanation for sexual and love phenomena is: Everything human is owed to our genes’ intention to reproduce themselves. Every human behavior tends to be dependent upon the principle of gene reproduction.

Genes are eternal. We are the vehicles for their survival.

If we understand their mechanisms, we can better use them to improve the quality of our sex and love lives.

Most humans are not aware of an extraordinary phenomenon: our genes have survived for millions of years and have made it to this point in time.

They have survived because they were the best. Anytime we are sad, depressed or melancholy, we can think about our genes. They are winners.

Throughout this book we will untangle the subtle web of instincts, habits and behaviors that genes have programmed in humans to make reproduction possible.

Why is this knowledge important? How can it change one’s life? Because if we are ignorant, our genes can use us to their own ends without us even realizing it.

Just as the bee is unaware that it is pollinating flowers and that this leads to reproduction. Or as the monkey has no idea that fruits distribute seeds for the trees.

If we understand our genes’ mandate, something can change. We can put our genes to work for us. We can change our behavior because we know the laws that regulate our instincts. We can choose a lifestyle more in tune with our needs and aims.

How do we change the future? The answer is: by changing the past.

The brain has an amazing characteristic: it cannot distinguish between real memories and fictitious ones. How many times have we changed our minds about where to park our car and then not remembered where we left it? Or have we been
