Bibliography
Introduction
This book is a collection of writings covering the five key areas of life -— work, relationships, health, consciousness, and spirituality. And if that doesn’t quite cover it all, there is a section which includes topics like joy, change, competition, intuition, and peace.
You will notice that there are beautiful photographs to illustrate each writing. This is because a picture truly is worth a thousand words.
You will also notice that the chapters are not numbered. That is because I invite you to address this book the way you might engage a delectable tray of colorful hors d’oeuvres. Read only those that look juicy at the moment.
This book would best reside on your coffee table, breakfast table, night stand, patio or porch table. If you are a professional with a waiting room, several copies would do well on tables there for the benefit of your clients. (This will make your work with them a lot easier.)
To those seasoned in the concepts of broader perspective, energy healing, and quantum science, this book will be your Enlightenment training coach. It will inspire and remind you to actually live the principles you have spent years studying.
And for your friends and family members whose eyes glaze over when you speak on these topics, this book will serve as a pleasant primer. They will see the amazing practicality in all that energy gibberish you have been babbling about all these years. In fact, do yourself a favor and give many copies as gifts. There is no better gift than that of Enlightenment!
These writings have evolved over six plus years, and were inspired by my clients and friends who wanted to know why life was not working so well for them, and how to make it work better. This is why it may well feel as though I am actually speaking directly with you as you read these writings. This book also reflects my own evolution through times of joy and discovery, as well as through times of challenge and loss. (Please note that any inconsistencies in style, format, etc. reflect an effort to maintain the flavor or the original writing. Also proving that "You can’t step in the same river twice!)
I hope to teach, inspire, activate, and instigate Enlightenment in your everyday life. And as a bonus to all my readers I am including an exclusive web course entitled, How Life Really Works: Energy Science 101.
Here is the link -— http://www.enlightenedlifecoaching.com/EnergyScience101. I hope that you enjoy both the information and the fun practice exercises!
I sincerely hope that something somewhere in this book makes your life just a bit lighter. And I hope that you will share this book with others. Thank you for sharing your time with me.
Work
When you work you are a flute through whose heart the whispering of the hours turns to music. ….And what is it to work with love? It is to weave the cloth with threads drawn from your heart, even as if your beloved were to wear that cloth….
– Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
Failing at Success
How do you define success?
Traditionally success meant doing all the right
things, like knowing the right people, going to the right schools, being from the right families, getting the right jobs, etc. This is the DO-HAVE-BE model. Do
the right things, and you will have
lots of stuff, and be
happy. How’s that working for you? For most, it isn’t. This is where the confusion and frustration sets in. If we did it right
and we’re still not happy, did we fail at success? Or is success
itself and the ladder it rests on, somehow flawed?
Recently I saw a video of a talk given by an East Indian spiritual teacher who was discussing The Shift.
He referred to popular fears about earthly demise. He explained that those cultures which are based upon thinking
and clutching
will experience great depression and that those which are based upon Being
will experience bliss and enlightenment. That is, cultures that live as BE-DO-HAVE will enjoy where we are headed. (BE authentic, Do from your Being, and Have abundance in all ways.)
Author Gregg Braden has expressed a similar perspective. He explains that we are now experiencing a dimensional shift in consciousness, from the third to the fourth dimension. We have lived in third dimensional consciousness for 2,000 years. This dimension is marked by judgment (good vs. bad), by putting oneself before others, and by competition, lack consciousness, and technology. We are now beginning to experience the lower and middle fourth dimensional consciousness marked by holistic understanding, as well as greater care and compassion. He states that we are heading for the higher fourth dimension of consciousness reflecting intuition, unconditional love, less attachment, more appreciation, and rewards to heart-centered people rather than money to the ambitious. So we are really taking a dimension and a half leap in a very short span of time. The current shift began in 2001. The years 2008 and 2012 were key hinge-point years. By 2020 the world will be a very different place.
So is failing at success
