CHAPTER 1

KC INSISTED THAT they stay one more night he loved having his mother with him and now his father.

Mom some things are beyond our control. Sam killing himself is not your fault. Like dad said he was a sick man. I know sweetie but it seems that everything happens to us. I sometimes wonder should I have married your father. Mom of course you should have. He’s the love of your life. She put a hand up to his face yes he is along with my children. Mom will I now be able to meet my sisters? Yes you can. I want to meet Rebecca first. Why Rebecca first? She’s dads and the others aren’t. She smiled like a father bonding thing. Yes something like that.

Well she’s pretty like you and your father. She loves her children and her mother is a bitch. Yes mom I remember you told me that already. KC I know your father is very happy to have you in his life now. I should have told him about you a long time ago. I thought he betrayed me.

Mom listen I’m fine and if he isn’t that’s his problem. I love you and so does he. He told me how he made his living when he came to America. Dad doesn’t want to lose you. I know son but he’s so jealous of me. I have enough sense to know when some man is putting the moves on me. Mom I think he’s so happy now and is afraid that his happiness may leave him. Scotty got up and walked out of the room onto the deck. Kate walked out and took his arm and said I’m sorry. It’s ok darlin. Aaron it was very hard on us keeping KC from you girls. It was terrible keeping KC from his father. I know it hurt him very much that David knew his son before him. I love my son he’s a fine man and will be a great brother if you girls will let him.

Well mom I believe you had your reasons and I love you. My dad accepted KC so can I. Glad to finally meet you brother. Kate was happy and so was her honey. Scotty still has some issues about not knowing about his son. He loved her enough to forgive her the way she has forgiven him.

The food and company everyone enjoyed talked about the next race coming up. Kate was nervous about the other girls and their brother. The boys were excited they had a new uncle. He told them that he would come see them play ball. KC was a fine athlete and could play any sport and did. Scotty had a look of disappointment on his face it broke Kate’s heart. They hugged and said their good byes. KC and Aaron would fly down Thursday. Scotty would send the jet to fly them to the race.

On the drive back to KC’s condo Kate was taking a mental note of all she has to take to the race. Wow after this one then the Belmont. She had talked to Alfred and Missy and Katie was fine of course. They were so worried about Kate. Oh I’m fine just a little over whelmed that are all.

We’re coming home tomorrow. I know Katie will be glad to see you. Oh and I her I miss her terribly.

The flight home was very smooth and so was the landing. The first stop was to see Katie. Hey girl she went into the stall and was rubbing behind her ears and kissed her nose. While she was brushing her she told her about her son. She also told her how much she loved her honey and didn’t want the past to cause them any problems. Scotty could tell she was crying. He couldn’t help his self he had to have her in his arms. Darlin I love you more than life I could never leave you. Our son I love so much he has so much of you in him. So we’re getting Larry some groceries. Well he’s taking a shower now. We should change his sheets on his bed. My honey this place is nasty. I don’t think Linda is doing her job. There is no food here at all that’s a crying shame. She should have called us earlier. Ok we need to go shopping now. I’ll tell him he’s in the shower. It was always easier for them to go shopping together. Scotty pushed the cart and Kate got the food and would mark off her list. He could watch her all day with her lists. When they got back Larry had taken his shower and had stripped his bed. He went and helped Scotty bring in the groceries. It was Kate’s job to put them away. I think you can leave now I ate all I can. Ok now I’m putting the rest up. I know so I can eat the left overs. Wow you did listen to me I’m complete now. Bite me Kate. They talked about the horses of course and children. Garrett was so surprised that she had a child he didn’t know about. Yes I did have to keep him a secret. I haven’t seen him in so long not since I moved back. They both smoke and I don’t like to be around them because of that only. I could tell they smoked darlin.

CHAPTER 2

KATE WAS NERVOUS going over to Rebecca’s house. They were going to tell her about her brother. Oh I hope she takes it well. Thank goodness the bitch was not there only the nurse and Rebecca.
