I just want to thank my family the most, friends and Covid 19 because I had so much time on my hands and wa able to finish my book. Thank you so much to my wonderful kids a mother could not ask for any better babies that you, 3. I love you my baby’s.

Hi, my name is Sophie. I’m twelve years old. I helped find my mom when I was only six years old. At the time, I didn’t know why I didn’t have a mom. No, I wasn’t adopted. She didn’t give me up—no, nothing like that. But my dad told me what happened—it was a car accident that took my mom—and how it changed our lives forever.

My mom and dad were having a date night the first one since I was born. It was raining hard that night people were asked to stay where they were until the electricity came back on. Mom called Grandma and told her they would be a little bit longer to get home. Dad thought it would be fine since the lights were only out in the city. As they were driving back in the dark, it made things harder for Dad to see. Mom was scared and worried about Dad getting into an accident. He told her it was fine, even though he was a bit scared also. But he wasn’t about to tell Mom that so she wouldn’t be so worried. As Dad was coming around the curve, the lights came back on. Just as they were coming around the corner, a drunk driver was the on the road and hit them head on. Since it was quiet in the city, the accident was heard in the city. The noise was loud and it echoed throughout part of the town. EMT showed up and checked to see who survived and who didn’t, checking identities. One EMT grabbed the two women’s identification and mixed up both women’s identification.

S o let’s just start at the very beginning how it all started. Mom and Dad had just been married, and they were looking for a home to call their own outside the city. Mom said she wanted a white house with red doors and red shutters. When Dad asked why red, she said, That’s the kind of house I have always dreamed of. This is a way if you ever get lost, just look for the white house with red doors and red shut ters.

Dad just laughed and said, "OK, we will find
