About this ebook

OUR MISSION IN THESE SIX BOOKS

1.Growing Decline in World Peace

We started our long journey in these six Books with an expression of concern over the growing decline in world peace. Our Mission throughout our Six Books had therefore focused on our views on how the state of World Peace can be advanced.

2. Enhancing unity between Christianity and Secularity.

We expressed at the beginning of our first Book that one major source of the growing decline in world peace is the on-going wars and crises between the Religious and Secular worlds of today. This source of global crises had been acknowledged in a recent conference of global Religious Leaders held in Assisi at the invitation of Pope Benedict XVI. The Conference participants resolved unanimously to address this source of crises in world peace.

Global Secular Leaders had also expressed much concern on the growing decline in world peace. They did so again at the last meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

3.Our Mission to contribute to Pope Benedict XVIs New Evangelization

In our view, the recent launching of the New Evangelization by Pope Benedict XVI reflected in part the resolution of Religious Leaders in the Assisi Conference to find ways of addressing the growing decline in world peace due partly to Religious conflicts with Secularity across the world.

The Pope called on all Lay members of the Catholic Church and Christians in general to contribute to the success of the Popes New Evangelization-PCNE.

As we expressed throughout our six books, our mission in these Books is to respond to the call by Pope Benedict XVI.

4. Military and Secular Perspectives on the Religious and Secular Peace

We stated clearly from the start, that our contribution would reflect on the military and secular aspects of the growing conflicts between Christianity and Secularity, using the global experience in both sectors by our Author throughout his career. We had to take these perspectives because we must identify the source, leadership and strategies in the wars and conflicts between the Religious and Secular worlds . Unless we know the leaders in the conflicts and their missions we cannot achieve any progress in resolving these wars and crises and enhance the level of world peace.

5. My Background

A few words of introduction on my background may enable the Reader understand my perspectives in these Books. I started the project of writing the Books because I am convinced that I can contribute to the PCNE by bringing my African background in Nigeria, education at the London School of Economics and exposure to global secular governance through my position as a former Economic Adviser with The U.K. Government and a Senior Economist at The World Bank.

    About The Author

Vitalis Chidomere Nwaneri, brings to these four Books, his experience in Religion, Economics, Politics, Science and Philosophy, and exposure in various advanced and developing countries across the globe. He acquired his experience from the Graduate School of The London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London (1962-1968). He joined the United Kingdom Government after his graduation and quickly rose to the position of an Economic Adviser by 1970. He left the Government in 1971 to join the World Bank in Washington D.C. U. S.A. He worked there till 1980 and rose to the position of a Senior Economist (1980). At the World Bank, he traveled extensively across the globe and gained exposure and first hand experience on some of the major Political, Economic and Social Development problems and how these confront Religious and Philosophical issues in some countries in Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe and America. These experience and exposure had inspired his analyses in these five Books.

Back in Nigeria in 1980, he became one of the country’s pioneers in Indigenous Banking and the Establishment of the First African Commodity Exchange. During his twenty years in Nigeria (1980-2000), he embarked on the audacious mission of bringing his global exposure and experience to contribute to the development of Nigeria’s Finance and Private sectors to lead its National Development. His Book on MISSION 2000 highlights his audacity. He also reflected his views as a Consultant for the Nigeria Government, the World Bank, African Development Bank and the U.S.A.I.D. His pioneering projects in Nigeria’s Banking and Trade sectors exposed him to the weakness of Nigeria’s Politics and Governance. So he decided to take a shot at Nigerian Politics.

There he learned much of the confrontation with the evils of corruption and bad governance, all of which he had seen through his World Bank tasks in the developing countries across the world. His experience in Nigeria frustrated his shot at Politics and his pioneer projects on Indigenous Merchant (Investment) Banking and Commodity and Futures Exchange in the country.

In these Books, he attributes Bad Governance in Nigeria and other countries of the world to the war waged by Satan and its evil spirits against God and Man. The war has been going on since the creation of Adam. Through its temptation, Satan destroyed the Perfect world given to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden by God… This launched our war with Satan which VITA (as friends call him) surveys in these five Books. Vita emphasizes throughout these Books that, despite the temptations, attacks and wars by the enemy, God has a way of turning some of Satan’s attacks to good results. A global example is the establishment of the United Nations system after the first and second world wars to stop another war. On the personal level, Vita’s frustrated efforts in Nigeria eventually helped to open up ownership of Nigerian banking to most Nigerian citizens for the first time. Similarly, his frustrated efforts in the Trade sector finally led to the establishment of Nigeria’s First Commodity Exchange.

Back to the USA in 2002, he continued to contribute to Africa’s Development efforts along with his other Professional Associates through their Organization of African Professionals and Associates in the Diaspora (OAPAD Inc.), incorporated in the State of Maryland where he lives.

Vita had written several books on Nigeria’s Economic and Trade Issues as well as Articles in the London School of Economics Journal of Transport Economics, the World Bank and IMF Journal of Finance and Development, Newspapers and Magazines published in Nigeria (see References in Book One).

Above all his efforts, he has been a devout Catholic since his birth in the Eastern Igboland of Nigeria 70 years ago. As indicated in several chapters of his Books, his main mission is to contribute to the New Evangelization launched recently by Pope Benedict XVI when he established the Pontifical Council on New Evangelization (PCNE) . . . The Pope called on all lay and ordained members of the Catholic Church to join hands to contribute to the success of the Council. These Books are his response to the Pope’s call.

Vita shares the concerns of the world on the gradual deterioration in the level of world peace and Christianity because of the Enemy’s attacks, crises and wars. His Books therefore took a military perspective of the crises facing the world today. He surveyed the history of these wars and crises in Book One, from the time of creation to the present. In this Book 4, he surveys the current state of the war across the globe from Asia to Africa, and from the personal to the national levels. He focuses on the role of Satan in using intellectuals in Religion, Politics, Economics and Science to launch its war between Secularity and Religion. He concludes that these wars result from the Temptations in our hearts by the devil. These Temptations brew the war in our hearts from which they emerge to the surface as crises, especially when these intellectuals act as advisers or partners in Governance.

The world needs to be reminded of these facts. It seems to have forgotten who its real enemy is. Satan and its evil spirits are indeed behind man’s crises, attacks and wars. We go around blaming ourselves for all our crises.

Accordingly, Vita makes several audacious Recommendations that call on Christians across the globe to consider joining hands with the Pope’s PCNE to build up a crop of Warriors he calls, The Knights of The Cross Warriors—K of X, to promote world peace. Members of The K of X will launch new fronts of the war with the enemy in Politics, Economics and Science. They will fight against the enemy from the homes to offices, Churches to Parliaments, through the Streets and Business Markets, with the Television, Radio and Internets, by foot, cars, ships and airplanes. They will be guided by the commands of Christ to Love even our enemies, wash the feet of those we serve, pray for those who persecute us, turn the other cheek to those who slap us and forgive those who offend us seventy seven times because they know not what they do as Christ prayed on the Cross. Only the enemy, Satan knows what it is doing. It is indeed the master of Lies, Deceptions and Confusion across the world. In Books Two and Three, Vita surveyed the war that Satan had been waging between Christianity and Secularity to drive God out of secular governance, corrupt the Pillars that Christ established to sustain our modern civilization and Governance and promote justice, peace, human rights, equality and progress for all.

VITA now lives with his family in Maryland U.S.A. from where he wrote these four Books.

    Dedication

    TO JESUS, MARY AND JOSEPH,

    (OUR JMJ)

In my previous Books, I expressed my acknowledgments to my friends and institutions that inspired my reflections and meditations in these Books. In this Book, I want to express My Dedication to Jesus, Mary and Joseph, The Holy Family, Our Earthly Trinity and Our Perfect Model for fighting the type of war described in my four Books. I pray and thank them for the inspiration to write these Books. The Catholic Church honors the Holy Family on the last Sunday of its year. In The EWTN Homily for the last feast, the Holy Family is described as Our Earthly Trinity because JMJ is a perfect model of the Holy Trinity, God the Father, Son and The Holy Spirit. The Gospel Readings on that Feast Day showed how Jesus, The Son of God Himself lived a life of perfect humility and love to His earthly parents., loving and obeying them more than most human beings do. In the midst of the growing challenges of the world today, The Holy Family is a perfect model for us on how to fight our daily battles to do God’s Will on earth. We win that battle each day we succeed in our battle to defeat God’s only enemy, Satan which fights to lure us away from doing God’s Will. It fights us through its temptations to abandon God’s commandments on Faith, Love, Hope, Trust and Obedience to Him. It fights to make us hate our neighbors, to abandon carrying our crosses and following Christ as he commanded. The enemy lures us to follow its own ways of lies, deceptions, envy, hatred and all sorts of criminalities, to worship its gods of paganism, follow earthly pursuits of power and wealth acquired through criminal pursuits and influence. By so doing we are tempted to abandon following Christ’s ways of humility, simplicity and obedience to God’s Will as shown in the life of His Holy Family. This is a Book of Meditation on our Earthly and Spiritual Wars and Challenges in Life within and outside the family. It is therefore appropriate to dedicate our Books to Our Earthly Trinity and Our Model for confronting Earthly Challenges. We shall therefore propose our Rosary Prayer and Meditations for peace in the family, nation and the world. We pray for the guidance of our JMJ in our meditations with the Saints, the Good and Bad spirits over our War and Challenges which we address in these Books… .

    Preface

    1.   BACKGROUNDFrom Book 1

In the first of these Books we took a journey across world history to explore the origin of the crises the world is going through today. We concluded that indeed the world had been at war since its creation by God. We identified the Devil, also called Satan or Lucifer, as the only Enemy of God fighting man since the time of Adam. The war had been ravaging the world since Lucifer was driven out of Heaven by God’s Angel Michael because of Lucifer’s disobedience to God. Since then, this enemy has been known as Satan or the Devil. It had continued to fight God through man since the war was declared in the Garden of Eden where Satan tempted Adam and Eve to disobey God. Adam and Eve ate the fruit God commanded them not to eat. God punished them by driving them out of the perfect world of peace and enjoyment that God created for them. God also took away from Adam the power He gave him at his creation to go forth to rule and keep the world without any crises. Satan began to rule the world through is temptations on man to sin and disobey God.

God launched His plan through His Covenant to bring His Son to the world to save man from the sins of Adam and Eve. His Son would also reveal God to man and teach the people the ways to avoid His enemy in their lives. Finally, God declared the war with Satan when He said that the Child of a woman shall crush its head and it would strike at the foot. This is the declaration of the war we are surveying in these Books

    2.   A Reminder to the World.

We provide the survey in these Books to remind the world of the roots of its on-going wars. In the midst of its various pursuits, the world seems to be forgetting the historical facts behind its creation. It also continues to forget that sins offend God and please His enemy. Most people today seem to marginalize sins in their lives. They tend to forget that Satan who tempts them to sin is their true enemy. They turn round to blame God and their fellow men for the crises and wars that result from their sins. Christians also tend to forget that they are the main target of the enemy because of their worship and Faith in God and His Only Son Jesus Christ. As we highlighted in Book One, Satan had been fighting God’s own people from the time of Abraham to prevent God’s Covenants from being fulfilled. Satan lost his battles with God’s people to stop our Salvation and God’s Revelation. Jesus Christ fulfilled God’s Covenant and defeated Satan finally through His Resurrection. Since then Christians had inherited from God’s people of Israel, the burden of continuing to fight the enemy and maintain God’s Covenant with man. We are the New People of God. Accordingly, we became Satan’s primary target in its wars. But Christ had assured us that this enemy will not triumph over us.

    3.   New Evangelization of Pope Benedict XVI

These Books are our own contribution to the New Evangelization, The Pontifical Council on New Evangelization—PCNE, recently launched by Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican. The Pope called on all followers to contribute to its success. To prepare the world for the New Evangelization, it needs to be reminded of the above facts of its history which it seems to be forgetting. To this end, we decided to take a military perspective of that history in our Books… .

    4.   Book Four

In this last of our four Books on the topic, we take another journey across the globe to view the current state of world peace in order to confirm to the world that it is still at war with the enemy, Satan. The war is the result of the crises and attacks within its leading communities, from Religion to Politics, Economics, Science, Philosophy and other leading professions. These leaders are not only fighting amongst themselves but also within their members. Their wars had been going on for centuries without any resolution in sight. Since these are the most enlightened members and leaders of the world, one is curious that they cannot resolve their wars. We therefore decided to look beyond them to show that Satan is indeed the one behind their internal and external crises that cause our global wars.

In the first of our introductory chapter below, we survey the state of world peace today. We shall then proceed to examine how Satan is the one behind the crises the world has been facing from the individual to the global levels, in religion, philosophy, politics, economics and science.

    RECOMMENDATIONS

    Our Recommendations in these Books can be summarized as follows;

    Recognize Satan’s Attacks

Much of our problems in life arise from our unwillingness or inability to recognize that Satan is behind most of our attacks in life. We turn round to blame and fight our neighbors who we are commanded by God to love. We must therefore learn to recognize and avoid this enemy. We pray that these Books teach us this important lesson.

Satan is the Only Enemy of God and Man.

Satan had been the only Enemy of God and Man and is the one behind the wars and crises that we are fighting. We are deceived by Satan to ignore it and to focus only on our fellow men and women as our enemies. We must therefore try to pray for God’s protection from this enemy because we cannot fight a spirit with only human weapons as St Paul advised.

Establish the Knights of the Cross Movement (K of C M)

To help reduce the growing rate of Satan’s attacks and learn how to fight this enemy and its agents across the globe, from the grassroots to the global levels, we recommend that The Catholic Church consider promoting a New Knights of The Cross (K of X) Mission. The primary Mission of the K of CM is to contribute to the success of the Pontifical Council on the New Evangelization—PCNE and that of our—World At War Mission (see our Website for details)

The K of X would carry the message of the PCNE to the Grass Root levels of our societies, including all Christian denominations across the globe. In the Catholic Church, we pray that through the support of its existing groups like the Knights of Columbus, the K of X would be set up at each parish to work with other Catholic Associations and Groups to ensure that we address the goals of the PCNE.

    Year of Faith—2012

Pope Benedict XVI will declare in October that this year 2012, is the Year of Faith. We pray that our Books and the K of X M may also contribute to the Renewal of Faith in God and His only Beloved Son Jesus Christ. Renewal and growth in Faith in God is shown in our Books to be critical to preserving global peace, justice and progress.

    Global Peace

We also show in our surveys in these Books that the world is drifting rapidly towards crises that could lead to another world war. We therefore dedicate these Books to Our Holy Family Jesus, Mary and Joseph to intercede for the world to recover its peace. Our Lady had been working wonders across the globe to preserve peace justice and Faith in God.

In one of our chapters, we propose meditations on World Peace in the Rosary for World Peace.

    The HUMAN WAR FRONT

Based on our analyses in these Books, we conclude that there are two warfronts that we must face Human and Spiritual Warfronts. Unknown by them, the enemy uses the Human Front to fight us through enlightened leading Professionals in Politics, Economics, Sciences and Philosophy. However, some of them have little training in Religious, Moral and Conscience development. They may lack the full enlightenment in the three basic standards for good leadership, namely, Faith, Reason and Truth. Without Faith in God, they cannot lead us in the right direction.

Our mission for the PCNE is to remind the world that its enemy, Satan exploits this weakness in our leadership to fight us. It fights through leaders who serve Satan, without their knowledge.

Our goal is to remind the people who are being used by the enemy to serve it that they are indeed serving Satan. Most people are undertaking actions that serve this enemy without knowing what they are doing. We recall that they did the same thing by crucifying Christ. Hence Christ prayed to His Father to forgive them because they knew not what they were doing. We also pray in these Books for them because only Satan knows what it is doing to us. Some of Our Leaders indeed do not know who they are serving.these days. Democracy is being exploited by the enemy to fight us. As we argue in these Books, the enemy makes our leaders look at Democracy rather than focus on God’s Commandments for their guidance in governance. As a result, the world is forgetting the existence of the enemy in our lives and continues to live as if sins do not matter any more. Many had given up fighting to become Saints because they think that Sainthood is for the ordained members of the Church, contrary to the teaching of St. Jose Maria Escriva.

    VOLUME 1

    INTRODUCTION

    Chapter A

    OUR WORLD AT WAR

    1.   Reflections on the Wars across the Globe from Asia to Africa.

An objective reflection on the first decade of the Twenty-first Century would conclude that the New World of today is indeed at war. In this first chapter, we take a quick view of the global picture to see what has been going on across the continents…

    2.   Communist China and N. Korea

China continues its global war of Communism against Christianity, Capitalism and Democracy. It had been engaged in this war over the previous century. Its new strategy in the new century is to corrupt economic, social and political systems at home and across the globe while continuing to build up its military capability. At home it continues to suppress domestic political freedom, economic competition, and religious freedom

In the Religious front, it continues to oppress Religious freedom of its people by forcing Christians to worship according to its guideline and political control. True practice of Catholicism in China continues to be an underground movement A recent survey of China showed that despite the country’s rapid economic growth, the majority of the people, including their over 250 billionaires would like to emigrate out of the country because of political and religious suppression

In the economic front, its tight control over domestic prices and wages, enhances its influence over global prices and monetary values. It is able to amass foreign currencies like the U.S Dollar to ensure its financial power to exert political and economic influence over the U.S and the global finance and ensure higher competition over other advanced countries. Its policy in developing countries like those of Africa is focused on taking control of their vital natural resources. To this end, it cooperates with their oppressive governments even those that persecute their own people. Through these strategies of enhancing its global economic power, it is posing a new economic threat to the rest of the world, especially the centers of Christianity, Democracy and Capitalism in the West. In his 2012 State of the Union Address, the U.S. President Barrack Obama declared his counter attacks at China’s new economic war front.

    North Korea

China’s Communist neighbor, North Korea continues its war to expand Communism to South Korea and other neighbors using more vicious weapons of political oppression, economic impoverishment of its people and nuclear threats to the world. The country’s new young ruler is causing more concerns to the world than his late father did. There seems to be little hope for reducing poverty and enhancing the levels of peace, justice, human rights and economic progress…

    3.   Islamic Nations of Asia

In other parts of the Asian Region, especially Pakistan and Afghanistan, Islamic Extremists continue their war of Religious terrorism against Christianity and Democracy locally and across the globe. Along with their partners in the Middle East, they continue to threaten the Christian world and kill their local Christians as infidels. They are now witnessing growing domestic civil revolution against their system of oppressive governance that rejects Christian Pillars of democracy, equality, equity, freedom, love of neighbor, humility in service, justice and progress all of which are based on the Pillars that Christ established through His Church.

    4.   North and Sub-Sahara Africa

In the North African Region, the Muslim political leaders are paying the price of their years of oppressive systems of political and economic governance. Their domestic revolution had forced out the leaders of Egypt and Tunisia and killed that of Libya.

Further down to the South, countries like Somalia, Sudan and Zimbabwe have lived and continue to live under failed governments for years without any relief in sight. The war against Christianity is the root of the instability in Somalia and Sudan.

    Why Sub-Sahara Africa?

West Africa may indeed be growing in Christianity and Democracy but corruption continues to constrain political, social and economic progress.

In our Book 1, we addressed the question Why Africa? Many people ask this question these days because they cannot understand Why Africa remains underdeveloped despite its significant endowment with such natural development resources like crude petroleum oil, minerals like gold, diamonds, copper and others. It has abundant land and agricultural resources like cocoa, groundnuts, yams and many others. In addition, Sub-Sahara Africa has one of the best climate and environmental endowment in the world. Its tropical climate makes it favorable for most human development activities like tourism.

The people who ask the above question believe that the continent is cursed by God. In our Book 1, we argued that in view of its resource endowments, one can only say that the sub-continent is indeed one of the most blessed by God.

We argued that Satan is indeed behind Africa’s underdevelopment. We strongly recommend the Reader to find time to read our chapters on the continent in Book 1. By oppressing the people through economic, political and social corruption, paganism and bad governance, Satan continues to rule the people as it did in the world before Christianity. We had shown that the world before Christ was underdeveloped for many centuries despite the rule of Emperors. Despite the advent of colonialism which brought Christianity, the devil continues to promote underdevelopment through its weapons of selfishness, greed, ambition for personal wealth stacked in foreign banks. Through its corruption of politics, most political leaders in Africa do not pay attention to general development but focus only on personal development. The people themselves do not fight for their own rights through political demonstrations as their fellow citizens in the advanced countries. The Government in power puts its highest priority to persecution and suppression of the opposition parties. Their government leaders kidnap or kill their opposition party members. While some Muslim extremists are ready to fight and commit suicides through bombing themselves under the direction of their religious terrorist, their African counterparts are ready to sit and praise their corrupt leaders for their success in corrupt amassment of personal wealth. We recommend reading the chapter below on the Author’s experience in Nigeria to understand more of our argument that Satan is indeed responsible for the continent’s backwardness

These Political, Religious and Social crimes continue to cause growing concerns to the rest of the world. They are also posing serious threats to world peace and Christianity. The war of terrorism against Christians is growing rapidly towards Southern Nigerian Christians. The world needs to address it before the country becomes another Iraq or turns into civil war like in the Biafran experience. The Nigeria corruption and criminality can be traced to Economic and Political mismanagement that had forced unemployed youths to engage in crimes. Moral and religious wars had resulted in the banning of Religious and Moral teaching in schools in Nigeria since the Biafran civil war. Nigeria took that measure to punish and bring down Christianity in the Christian Eastern Region of Biafra. The future is therefore gloomy for both Christianity and Democracy in the sub-continent because lack of moral and religious education over the post war years had brought millions of youths who are being employed by Satan to wage its wars… .

    5.   The Drug Wars in Latin America

The Latin American sub-continent continues to be ravaged by the wars against drug trafficking that had reduced their cities to battle grounds with criminal gangs. Most observers trace these wars to economic and political mismanagements that pushed unemployed youths to engage in crimes by their drug gangs just as in Africa

In a recent CNN Program—Titled CNN Presents on the evening of Saturday, 27, January 2012, we viewed the Drug wars in action in the countries of Honduras and Guatemala, the neighbors of Mexico. The Program referred to the two nations as the most violent nations on earth. The drug trafficking from Venezuela through these two countries into the USA via Mexico had reduced the two governments to failed states. Indeed the two countries illustrate the real experience today of countries ruled by Satan and its human agents. Its gangs rule with Satan’s weapons of corruption, murder and greed for wealth. Human lives are nothing compared to a few dollars from Drugs.

Like sub-Saharan Africa, the Latin American Region is ravaged by Corruption, criminalities and instability because of bad governance. Up in America, the drug consumers are waiting for the delivery of the drugs with their gangs, ruling the streets of U.S. cities like Chicago. Their future development is also of serious concern to the world.

    6.   U.S.A, Europe and Other Advanced Nations.

In the advanced countries of Europe, America and Canada that enjoy high levels of education and enlightenment, one would expect peace to reign among professional leaders in Politics, Religion, Economics and Philosophy. These are the leaders of Secular and religious Governance. However, we find out that they have their own warfronts within themselves and against Christianity. Their growing culture of death seeks to overthrow traditional Christian Cultures through policies that favor abortion, divorces, same sex marriages, pornographies and prostitution, all of which target the Christian cultures of unity of family, human rights and freedom for all persons including the unborn kids. We had reviewed all these warfronts between Christianity and Secularity in our Books 2 and 3. We showed that the Pillars of Christianity which had sustained modern civilization in Europe and America since the time of Christ are now being seriously threatened and undermined in these advanced nations.

    Politics, Economics and Religion

These Pillars of freedom, equality and justice in political governance and economic competition and equity in corporate governance are all being corrupted. Political Freedom is being misinterpreted to mean freedom to drive God out of the Public Square and political governance. The pillars of equality, equity and fair competition in business are being corrupted to promote a new front of slavery in which employees are denied their rights for fair wages and benefits. These are promoted by greedy capitalists through two channels of denial of fair wages and benefits for workers and charging unaffordable prices for housing. The denial of fair wages is implemented through corruption of competitive capitalism in the labor sector. It is implemented through the corrupt practice of out-contracting of workers which makes domestic costs of labor too high at home. Employers hire workers through Contractors rather than employing them directly. They pay these middle contractors 100% fees per staff. In turn the contractors pay their contracted worker only 25% or less of the fees they receive. They are also denied the payment of other benefits or their rights to negotiate or strike for better working conditions. The U.S. Health and other government and corporate sectors rely mostly on such hired contractors to do most of their work. Doctors and Nurses are largely foreigners hired under such contracts. They can be fired and denied their rights without any threats of strikes or bargaining. Is that not a new form of slavery? Yet America complains of high costs of domestic labor.

    Global Financial Markets

In the U.S. financial markets, operators had promoted high and unaffordable prices for goods and properties like housing under fake promises of helping them to fund the high prices. Through these corrupted acts of capitalism, greedy capitalists promoted systems of marketing that eventually led to the collapse of the financial market and threw the global economy into crises. They turned round to demand from their government subsidies and lower taxes and the abolition of basic welfare payments to the disabled, poor and weak members of their society in order to maintain their comfortable living standards. When their President resisted, they want to bring him down…

    Separation of Religion and State

When Christians criticize these acts of corruption of the Christian Pillars of love of neighbor on which fair Capitalism is founded, they turned round to demand to ban God from public and corporate squares of governance. They use the so-called separation of State and Religion as the justification for their demand these are some of the causes of the on-going war between Secularity and Christianity in the USA and Europe.

The Christian Pillar of providing support to those in need through Charities and assistance to the poor, as Christ taught, are all being threatened by new political party campaigns for restricted role for governments and reduced public support programs.

    7.   The United Nations

Finally, how is the United Nations confronting the above global crises across the world? It would be recalled that the U.N.O was established after the Second World War to ensure that the world is not driven to a third world war. How then is the U.N. O meeting its primary goal of confronting the threats to world peace?

Major Constraints to U.N. Unity from various Groups

As can be expected, the mixed structure of membership of the UNO—Christian, Muslim and Communist Nations, cannot make the task of the U.N.O easy. In addition, the different political and economic goals of various members of the UNO create more complications for unanimity on various important issues that are behind the on-going threats to world peace.

    Disunity among Christian Member Nations

The Christian nations at the U.N. have their own differences because of differing Christian denominations which make it difficult to have a united Christian position. Their different levels of Democracy makes
