About this ebook

I've made all my choices freely in this life, but how I wish they were all perfect without errors. Only in the last fifteen years can I say I have chosen, not perfectly mind you, but wisely. All my choices are now founded upon reason and common sense and logic and a belief in an actual Creator, which is a philosophy called Deism. Unlike revealed religious beliefs that seek to isolate mankind and to sever the tie that binds one human to another, Deism never makes demands. Deists are instead individuals who choose to stand alone in their trust in the Creator. Paradise or Heaven, should there be such places, are reserved for religious believers. The rest of humanity?

Deism seeks to unite mankind with a universal truth that all can accept not founded on a book called holy created by mankind to control mankind. Deism looks to the Cosmos, Nature, and the endlessness of the night's sky, each as a book to help guide mankind. Deism does not require a promise or a reward of Heaven or Paradise as an incentive to be a good and loving person; it is simply the right thing to do. We all shall see truth if there is anything to see in the by and by. Perhaps, we will simply go to a deep, dreamless sleep and know nothing more as a few souls believe? I really don't know what happens at the last moment; even so, I will maintain my trust in the Creator to the very end. I shall hold to reason and common sense until my time here is ended.

    Introduction to the Messenger

A messenger I am, as I see it, but I’m not related to a man like Mohammad or any other human being that calls himself a Divine messenger of some sort. I am, however, heavily burdened by the reality of this title and the responsibility of it for me that is directly related to it. This effort is not an instrument of destruction as it is not related to violently attacking organized religious beliefs or churches or Mosques or synagogues; it is instead an effort to inform. We as children of this existence are all bound by the law written in existence to make our choices as this law demands. We must choose our way in life, and we cannot not choose because not choosing is still a choice freely made. This written effort is not offering a new type of religion, it is more a form of philosophy called Deism. My acceptance of Deism cannot be called a religion, since I have no idea if there is a Paradise or a Heaven or another existence called life after death. Is there a Being called the Creator? I really don’t know, but it seems a Creator is necessary founded upon nature and the cosmos and the endless night’s sky. The fact called death will answer all these questions if it’s possible a spirit we will be in the afterlife; that is to say, if there is such a thing as an existence in some form beyond this life.

This book of essays is an honest effort describing my choices in varying ways and includes my truth founded upon provable facts and not blind emotions. It is my right as a child of this existence and driven by my sense of reason and common sense to go in search for a universal truth. It is a desire to instill the need in my mind to go in search for my truth to take with me on my final journey. Will we be taking anything with us? I really don’t know; maybe you know? It is not your emotional truth I will be taking with me but my truth, that is to say, if taking anything is possible. You may have your own truth as it suits your emotional, religious state of blindness without facts of any kind as proof to back them up. Believe what you feel is the right thing to do based only on your emotions, surely it is not founded upon facts.

As a Deist, I have found my truth that I can take with me when I am called away to the other side; as said already, if, there is another side. I just don’t know what happens at my final moment, I hold to my trust in the Creator that I have accepted as true, even as I cannot prove conclusively a Creator actually exists. There are so few provable facts available to assure one that a Creator is true, since there is no evidence that a Creator or a created God aids or intercedes for mankind in any way; history will provide this fact for any seeker of truth. Go see truth in history for yourself, do not rely on another for your truth. There is no God of any kind that will come to your aid in this life; history will prove that absolute fact of non-intrusion as far as I have been able to discover; believe me when I say I looked way beyond other humans who also searched. I gave it all I had. What more can a person give?

I wish to offer all these thoughts created in essay form that many will say were created solely by me and are mine alone. But no, that cannot be said in good conscience, as I have said, I am but the messenger. I am a simple instrument that records information and all the creativity that arrives, which comes from the powerful gift given to me at birth by the Creator. This powerful gift is called the subconscious mind that functions round the clock and never rests; always on duty as little else in life can claim. Lungs, heart, kidneys and other body functions all answer to its call and demands. Health issues are addressed by the subconscious mind as an aid to the medical doctors who do their best to save us. Few people will understand this absolute fact that I, as a common human being, cannot be the actual author of these works. My name is offered as the messenger who’s providing written information as a means to inform and that’s about all.

The subconscious mind and the conscious mind are the two parts of the divided Chinese circle called Yin and Yang. They are separate and yet they are together; one mind cannot function effectively without the other. Once I understood what the subconscious mind was and was able to do, I began to call out to my subconscious mind and ask to have my body healed which had previously been in serious trouble. I won’t go into the health troubles I once had. This is not a directive to insist that other humans should follow me as some sort of know it all leader or a partially Divine guru or a healer of some kind like Jesus. It is said, Jesus had this ability to heal and to save. I cannot nor will I be able as a common human being suggest that I am able to offer supernatural miracles to my fellow man. There is nothing supernatural about the subconscious mind, it is simply a powerful part of each human body which is said to be located in the solar plexus just behind the stomach. The subconscious mind is being offered here as a fact and one of the most important gifts of the several that were given by the Creator at birth for each normally forming child.

A sincere suggestion is offered here that the reader should go to hypnotism and there you will have a demonstration of the basic power of the subconscious mind. The hypnotist puts the conscious mind to sleep and commands the subject’s subconscious mind to do his bidding. The subject performs as ordered. The subconscious mind will agree to anything your conscious mind will offer. Example: Say this from your conscious mind over and over with emotion. I can’t do it or I’m too stupid or I am afraid I’ll fail; the subconscious mind will agree and that’s exactly what you will be. As the man said: ‘What you think; that’s what you are.’ To say the subconscious mind is part of all members of humanity equally? I really cannot say that’s a fact, since I really don’t know. There are reasons why I have accepted and embraced this power to help me in a life that was not always easy for me. But, do, please, read the essays and see what the subconscious mind is capable of doing for mankind.

For a reader’s complete understanding to be possible relating to the subconscious mind, I must confess that one day as I lay suffering from the flu in a troubling physical sickness with a high fever, and I heard a very loud voice calling to me in my hour of agony. Did that mean I was on the verge of madness? But no, that’s not true; I soon discovered it was either the Creator or my subconscious mind reaching out to a failing human being that was thought for some reason to be worth saving. I am now certain without the least doubt that it was and is my subconscious mind calling to me. I know from discovered facts from history that no God created by mankind or my belief in a Creator, will not and does not intercede or offer help in this life as far as I can determine. It’s true, I cannot know what the Creator will or will not do; that is for the Creator to do and not a person like me to attempt to answer. Of course, my many errors in life clearly indicate that I am not leadership material beyond an ability to inform which, unlike teaching that demands agreement, while informing allows one to freely choose for himself without a demand of any kind.

If, and sure as life is difficult, there are errors in and among all these essays, then know this also as a fact: All those found errors belong to me, after all, I only went to the eighth grade in formal schooling. The subconscious mind makes no mistakes; I tell you true, all mistakes are mine. While it’s true, I am as a messenger have created 22 books of short stories and this book of essays, but I ask you, where did all that creativity come from? I can say without a single doubt this absolute fact: All belong to the subconscious mind; few thoughts of value are mine that were being issued from my conscious mind, save for the found errors. Any essay that does not give a valued aid to humanity or is faulty, then it was an attempt by me to create without the aid of my subconscious mind.

And so, I shall in good time leave you to it, but do let the light of understanding shine on you, to guide you in this life. Life was and is not easy for all of us. A few souls in particular have a very difficult time of it, as you will see in due time. As I said, the essays and their philosophical depths of logic and reason founded on thoughts of great import, indeed, do signify that all belong to the subconscious mind. I again desire to reinforce the fact that gives support that I am only an ignorant self-taught messenger of this powerful inner mind, that for some reason has chosen me to share the light of its reality with each of you. But know this is a fact not generally known, that you, brother and sister, also have this same powerful gift which you probably know nothing about or so very little; do seek the light of understanding and a universal truth and they will surely find you, since they are surely seeking you.

Even as mankind is on the verge of destroying this world there are those who have given the sounds that stimulate and please the senses; to ease the pain of our mindless acts that will perhaps, see the end of life as we know it from global warming. I suggest that you go to YT ap on the cell phone and listen to Chopin’s Heroic polonaise or his Waltz of the Rain and his Minute waltz. I have enjoyed the Face of Nature by Ernesto Cortazar as well as his version of Remembrance. Beethoven’s Silence a version by Ernesto Cortazar that will ease human pain as it carries one’s mind to a more gentle place. We have the music to ease the pain of loss; Our Love Never Dies. Also by Ernesto Cortazar. last but not the least, is the ‘Spring Waltz -George Davidson’s version. Of course, there are other masterpieces as well; choose those that agree with your degree of intellect or emotional level. These efforts of a few creative humans may ease the transition we humans will each be experiencing as an undeniable law of existence arrives. Not all humans are given to destructive acts; there are healing moments given by a few of the creative people who have participated in this life that give and do not to take away. Perhaps, you will find a gentle sense of compensation as the music enters the soul while reading these essays, as it has been so, for me as I created them.

As you will see by this book’s contents, this powerful universal gift of the Creator, called the subconscious mind that had chosen or selected me for some reason. I am without a single university degree or specialty or a value above any other person in this life. The Creator I believe in gave each of us several gifts at birth; I asked myself, why not use them for a better more satisfactory life? A select few of the Creator’s gifts to aid us in life are here offered: A sense of reason and common sense and logic and intellect and intuition and an ability to love and a rich imagination and many other gifts as well, and you can easily find them if only you will go in search within. Remember these words uttered by an old philosopher and hold them close: That which you are actively seeking is also seeking you.

This book has all my written essay works, but in no particular order relating to the time they were created. There will be those who will criticize these thoughts and the offered philosophy; let that be as it may, at my advanced age I probably won’t be here to listen to them. Let me just say this at the outset: It was never my intention to criticize what other people have accepted from their Creator’s given right to choose for themselves nor which path they had desired to follow. You may be anything you so desire; the Creator I believe in will never intrude or interfere or intercede in any way or manner. Yes, be an Islamic killer or be a thief or a robber or be a Saint with kindness of the heart or hold empathy in high esteem. You may freely make your choice in any direction that seems right to your intellect and your conscious mind and your moral level or degree of virtue and even your emotional degree of religious blindness as well.

And so, you believe you can be saved in Heaven or Paradise, and you have faith in the God of the Jews or Allah of Islam? Perhaps, even Jesus will save you? One only has a need to look to the world history of endless wars and the many plagues and other disasters to see truth that is an actual truth. I would, if you would be so kind and allow it, like to ask mankind, as a whole, a few questions that have troubled my mind of late. Did the God of the Jews or Christians or the Muslim believers Deity called Allah ever stop any war or save anyone from plague or attacking virus that took billions of lives over the centuries? I ask you, did the Jews version of God called Yahweh or Allah of the Islamists or any other kind of God ever stop violent humans like Hitler? Did the God of all the Jews save His chosen children, as their dead bodies were destined to be burned in the furnaces of the German death camps?

As you are free to choose, I also have that same right and I exercise that right with the aid of my gift of the two minds residing in the circle called Yin and Yang by offering this small volume of essays. I went in search for truth in-order to see for myself what is true that I can take with me at my final hour; did I find a universal truth? We shall see in the by and by. Of course, it is right for you to choose your way as it is the law of existence, but make no mistake, we, in my opinion, may have to answer for those choices we had freely made. Is there more to come in the by and by? Will we be spirits in the afterlife? I really don’t know, but I’m sure your religious leader will assure you that he knows.

In any case, this first essay will set the stage for all the others that will follow. We were all once innocent babes newly found outside the womb, but all too soon many will be indoctrinated into the various religious beliefs and an assumed racial superiority available to mankind will prevail. We shall soldier on from that initial point of fact that we have a gift of freely making choices founded upon the law of existence called choosing, while on our way in life’s struggle. It is my most fervent wish that a few essays will appeal to my fellow humans and be accepted by a few members of Deism, which I believe are all based on reason and common sense and the troubling human condition often referred to as ignorance that is also a part of each of us. Of course, ignorance in a particular degree belongs to each one of us, as no man can know all there is to know. Naturally, you won’t like all of these essays, I am actually unsure of a couple of them, but there is nothing for it but to soldier on.

Deism, for me, offers reason and common sense, but please do face the trials of life as it appeals to your mind as you freely make your choices. And so, let us proceed with this first effort; If you find something that appeals to your mind in agreement or disagreement in this book, as long as you recognize the author, you may take as many paragraphs as you wish to support what you think or what agrees or disagrees with your way of thinking as a person. And so, let us embark on an inner journey of discovery. I know I will appear at times to be a tired old man who sometimes seems to have lost his way; but that’s exactly what I am. Of course, that’s what happens when one who is not prepared in the basics of education attempts the impossible or the difficult? Indeed, for one who can only be described as a self-taught messenger who thinks to go in search for an elusive truth called Universal that’s acceptable equally to all of the Creator’s children, surely, he will err; it is human to err; and I am human, therefore, what will you have? Do keep in mind I do not attack any person’s belief or religious choice, I only offer my degree of searching and what I found to be so and have chosen to inform as an honest offering to mankind. Be anything you like; choose any path that seems reasonable to your mind. I only inform I do not teach. I leave you to it.

    Severing the tie that Binds

Let us return to the exact instant of birth and a state of pure innocence for a precious few moments that once existed for each of us as we exited from the womb. There was no hate and there was no religion, there was no racial demands and there was no possibility that one
