And Eggs Ain't Poetry: (A Poetess' Collective)
()
About this ebook
Expressive or entertainment art, be it poetry, fictional novels, plays or whatever, is just that: entertainment. The ideas for such are ingenious of the individual writers imagination, experiences, perceptions, beliefs and/or emotions. When we focus on and understand the writers message and where the idea for his/her work stems, then the outcome of the reading will be more enjoyable, by flowing along and engulfing the words. Then we may be able to understand the mindset the writer was in when he or she first created the "work".
My point being, no "real" right or wrong way to design this book (inside or out)was used, except through the Authors ingenuity. Everyone is genuine and distinctive, and should make their own footprints in life, setting standards and even barriers for themselves. Not letting others dictate their existence nor agenda!! But, write their own stories.
Hope you enjoy the book, "and eggs aint Poetry". Be blessed.

Characteristics of my “persona” are neither flamboyant, nor flashy, however, I have been called “The Trend Setter”. Anything that is original, innovative or non-faddy (short-lived) appeals to me. This may lend to the fact that I am a restless sole who likes constant change, be it in fashions, trends or other interests. The passion that I have for writing started as early as age nine, during my correspondence with a nine-year old pen pal from Romania (then Cheslosylvoklia). If memory serves me right, his name was Andre’! During that period, I knew that I would, one day, do something in the area of writing. My secondary schooling was in business management, with an emphasis in communication, and I have a love for language arts. My poem, “Still Blue” is dedicated to a child I almost bore, and Love. The emotion behind that was devastating, and started me on the journey to Expressive Word Art (January 1975). Words can tell stories, and, so, I write!

And Eggs Ain't Poetry - Barbara Muhammad
INTRODUCTION
Originally, this book was named Poetreats, poems to relax by
. The title and eggs ain’t Poetry
is not based on personal or significant meaning. It was chosen because it is catchy, funny and I just like it. The idea for the title comes from a song bearing the words, Grits ain’t groceries, and eggs ain’t poultry, and Mona Lisa was a man
. Smile!
So much emphasis, today, is placed on political correctness (what is acceptable and what is not or what is wrong and what is not). As in trends, styles, music, languages and grammar, they are highly manipulated, categorized and segmented by titles, such as, new-wave, phonics, slang, hip-hop, ghetto, bu-bonics, and other sorts of mumble-jumble (if you will). This is not to say that language and grammar are unimportant. But, how one wishes to use them should be set by their own levels of development and understanding, and not so imposed upon by others.
No person, regardless of caliber, has a right to place barriers or set up standards so strict that other people can’t exercise their own excellence!
