    DEDICATION

    All these stories are based on real events and real cats, dogs and people. I am dedicating this book to my amazing and beautiful wife Maggie, our charming and handsome, grandson Michael, and of course, godsons and partners in mischief, Slade and Sabre. They all have taught me a lot and have given me hours of pleasure and affection.

    I would include the kitties and the dog, but let’s be realistic here – they wouldn’t know the difference!

    Chapter 1

    TROUBLE IN THE HOUSE

    There is a nice little house in Lakeville where Mr. and Mrs. Onion lived. They had two kitties and a dog. Mr. and Mrs. Onion loved these animals and they took very good care of them. In return, the animals loved them, too! In fact, they followed their people-parents around the house and would jump onto a vacant lap at every opportunity.

    They all loved to be stroked and petted. It was a contest to see who could get the most attention. Some of the time, that is!

    The little girl kitty was named PK. PK was a short version of Pretty Kitty. And oh, she was certainly that. In fact, she was absolutely gorgeous! She had long, soft, silky hair in six colours. Her magnificent coat was a calico combination of black, gray, brown, tan, cream and white. She had long white whiskers – and even whiskers for
