About this ebook

Who would steal 700 tulip bulbs? Scout and his friends are back in their third adventure in “The Springer Spaniel Mysteries” series! They need to find the bulbs and replant them so that the annual spring party, The Impromptu Tulip Mania Party, will go on as planned. Chapter 1 - New Puppy

The next morning, Scout jumped out of his bed and went downstairs with Dad. Dad always brewed coffee before his shower and gave Scout a cookie. Scout knew what to expect every day: a cookie and the smell of coffee.

Scout went outside into the chilly, sunny day; nothing appeared out of the ordinary in his back yard so he batted the back door’s screen with his paw and Dad let him back in. Worse, no one invited Scout to get in the back of the station wagon and they knew he loved car rides. A few minutes later he was alone.

The house was silent. He took a nap in the living room. The kitchen was drafty in the winter. Usually someone came by to play with him if both of his people left. Will stuffed a load of clothes in the washer and said, Hey, Scouty. What’s up? Scout had been to Minimum’s apartment several times on walks to pick up or drop off laundry.

Scout hopped up and down next to the front door. Will grinned and said, Let’s go for a walk!

And walk they did, down Montagu Street to Coming Street,
