Tomorrow’s victory
Is achieved through yesterday’s history
Tomorrow’s mystery
Is unravelled in today’s mastery
Knowledge comes from the burnt oils
Of a studious and tedious sleepless night
But wisdom transcends man’s strength and toils
Beyond the beauty of the brightest beam of light
EVERY WOMAN
I see every woman as my mother
Whom I loved like no other
My folly she endured
When my vision was obscured
By the delinquencies of adolescence
Soaked in my dreams of nonsense
She would wipe my tears
And washed my dirty wears
All that would be her gain
Were tears and pain
In place of hope of tomorrow
I gave her grief and sorrow
Now I cannot make her smile
No, not for a million mile
Not of time endless
Nor of end timeless
And if she could see me
I pray she also hear me
If she could hear me
I know she can always read me
But I am yet unread
In my thought I am still unheard
What a wondering mind of mine
In time will it be fine?
When myself I have discovered
Will my fears be
