About this ebook
A truthful account of life. A process of self development and discovery. It is not only about changing - it is about doing the complete opposite.Clients seek my help and advice as a life coach and personal trainer when something in their life is not working. If they are prepared to look at their life and make changes, they inevitably discover their life improving.
Doing the exact opposite of the behaviour causing discomfort is an easy way to experience change, which is directly linked to the problematic issue.Sounds easy, and really it is - once you have recognised problem areas, your role and activate opposite behaviour.
This is a tried and proven practice for change. I have lived this practice and had the world unfold/open up to me. How I have done so will be explained in ' My Story' and referred to throughout the book.
There are some things one can only achieve by a deliberate leap in the opposite direction.
Franz Kafka
Leanne O'Brien
Leanne O'Brien is a life coach and personal trainer who combines vast life experiences, training and the experiences of clients with high levels of motivation and passion. Leanne dives into women's health and issues of change in a direct and practical way which assists in dramatic life change. Leanne is a highly motivated individual who enjoys a challenge, and I is always continually striving to improve herself and her career. She has been self-employed since 1991. Her first business was a secretarial business which started as a home business while her children were young and built up to a stage where she managed the business and subcontracted five staff to generate the work. My secretarial business successfully ran for twelve years and, during this time, she took on many contracting roles. One of those roles was the running of the SA Enterprise Workshop, which is an extensive eight-month training program designed to train entrepreneurs the skills to start their own business and develop a business plan. After twelve years, Leanne sold her secretarial business, and with her family took a one-year “Around Australia” dream holiday. Upon our return to South Australia, her family decided on a sea change to Southern Yorke Peninsula where they purchased and ran the Hardwicke Bay General Store for four years. During this time, Leanne studied and completed certificate IV in fitness, and once the store was sold, started SYP Fitness. SYP Fitness has been successfully operating for over eight years, supplying the Southern Yorke Peninsula with services such as personal training, life coaching, boot camps, aerobic classes, and a fully equipped gym. With Leanne's high level of motivation and passion, life experiences, past work experience, and training, she is able to help clients achieve their goals in all life areas such as health and wellness, business planning, career planning, relationships, life balance, life transitions, and sporting/fitness goals. Leanne helps clients in all life areas such as: —Health and wellness. She is a qualified personal trainer and life coach and have worked in the fitness industry for over eight years. —Life cycle coaching. Leanne has lived through many life cycles and has transformed through many areas of her life. She can relate to people going through life transitions —Relationship coaching. Leanne has been married for over 26 years and can relate to couples going through different stages of their relationship. —Business coaching. She has successfully started, owned, built up, managed, and sold four businesses over the past twenty-three-plus years as well as running the Enterprise Workshop, a seven-month intensive workshop for entrepreneurs wanting to start their own business or idea. —Career, workplace, or executive coaching. Leanne has worked in many occupations and businesses throughout her life experiences and would use these experiences to help clients looking to start a new career, look for further training, and build teamwork within a company or any other goals a client or company wishes to pursue. —Sports and fitness Coaching. Leanne has always actively been involved in many sports at a high level, she believes everyone has the ability to be the best they can and sports is another area people can achieve this. Leanne has written this book, “Opposite,” to help people make changes in their lives. She often sees people trying to make small changes and getting frustrated with the slow progress or the small changes not making an impact on their lives. By focusing on the complete opposite, their lives will dramatically change. Their lives will be the opposite.
