Vanessa-Fei: The Girl Who Could Touch the Sky
()
About this ebook
Vanessa- Fei had grown into a beautiful young girl, a mirror image of her mother at that age. She has lustrous black hair, a generous smile, and the piercing eye of her father. On her twelfth birthday, she learns of a family secret that forces her to run away from home and away from her family. Her journey takes her through some frightening situation – a complicated adventure where the sky is both friend and foe.
On the pages of this book, there are lessons learned along the way, and the McByrne family secret is revealed, opening up a whole word of drama.

I am grateful to the Heavenly Father for blessing me with the vision for this book and to the following people for their love and support: My husband and best friend, Claude Bryan, who has been my biggest supporter, for his patience and listening ear; my loving parents, Lester McCarter Jr., and Vera McCarter, who taught me the importance of self-confidence and self-love; my nurturing mother-in-law, Nola Bryan, for her caring spirit; my lovely daughter, Natasha Rodgers; my beautiful, artistic niece, Sharice McCarter, who created the wonderful image of the Vanessa-Fei character; Priscilla Wakil, my loving sister, whom I call my confidant; and other siblings—Ray, Jackie, Tim, and Scott—for their undying love; my love for you goes deeper than you know. Also to my sisters and brother-n-law, thanks for always being there. To all the tweens in my life, I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. Love you all!

She had lustrous black hair, a generous smile, and the piercing eyes of her father. She kept to herself and had very little friends—perhaps because she always felt like she was different than the other girls at her school. She, along with her two brothers (Jamari-Isaiah and Karon-Phillip), were born of a young, poor, but happy couple, Alphester and Vanessa-Veranola McByrne. Her family was very close-knit and traditional. They were very systematic as they
