Finona, or Fe as she was known to her family and friends, was born completely free from fear. Her parents claimed she was born under a lucky star because she possessed the strength of mind and body that most grown ups could only ever dream of. She would jump up and over the highest of walls, dive into the deep end of pools and walk into the darkest of woods – all this, without knowing what was over the top or below or, worse still, what might be lurking within. And so, it may come as no surprise that this is a story about how Fe discovered that fear is a friend and that it is capable of saving lives.
