Chiaroscuro: Grey Graffiti of a Complex Mind.
By Dhruv Sharma

About this ebook
The book amasses the heaps that otherwise piles up in the forlorn corners in a mans life. It tries to present an otherwise pale countenance of the random drawings on the walls of a dreamer, an idealist. Written in the ink of reverie, dont be confused if the script wanders, for it is directed by a mind that, far away from the protocols, wanders freely. The book offers nothing new, yet it provides the feelings that we discard in the logical scheme. Its just a collection of the words that one experiences during ones journey.
The contents of the book represent the many layers of the layered mind.
Though written in grey, it presents a colorful image of the multidimensional complex that drives our life: the mind.
A vivid countenance inside a livid life, thats what this book represents.

Introduction
Mind is a complex maze. Entangled with varieties of emotions, it colors the canvass with different shades. And the final painting, displays a picture that most of us, at least subconsciously could identify. Bringing out different layers of this mind, this book projects some of the manifold moods active or dormant in this beautiful machinery called the human mind.
Hope you relate with some of the shades.
I am no one but your reflection.
Interstices
This closed space
An amalgamation of rooms
Occupying in its heart
An ineffable gloom
This ramshackle building
Devoid of any norms
This building of bricks
People call my home
Appears strange to me
In all its forms
Every single time I enter into
This haunted dorm
I can hear the sounds
My ears fail to catch
I can sense an air
My senses fail to match
But I believe
I surely can perceive
That this haunting
Replete with everything
Is in fact incomplete
May be it’s the doors
Suggesting me a thing
Before swishing into dark
Or it’s the windows
Continuously rattling
Scribbling their mark
To give a hint
Which I cannot understand
But I surely can feel
The presence of someone
Not being present
It’s then I realize
It’s the damp walls
Withered and covered
With chinks and blots
Ricocheting and presenting
The laughs, the chatters
The duels, the quarrels
In this haunting without a ghost
And now when a single ghoul
In me is only left here
These walls
Damped and moistened
With the tears of yours
Try to break free
Try to leave me
To join you
And they shout out loud
Tearing their skins apart
By uttering cries
In the form of interstices
The deep crevices
Formed from our voices
And are reminders of our choices
To part
And it’s then I conclude
That I am not alone
But I am surrounded
By the weeping, crying walls
Filled with the cracks
The deep interstices
Of our agonies
Afterlife
Attached with emotions
Leashed with relations
I lie down motionless
No place do I go
But I keep wavering
Oscillating to and fro
I keep thinking
Wasting myself
Over the issues
Important yet trivial
Real yet unreal
In this world
Like everyone else
Fighting over some cause
That shadows my presence
Amid these dregs
I too am a residue
Like other sediments
I too have to pay my due
I have to answer
I have to address
I too have to live
And die in congress
Careers, relationships
Love, friendships
Highs, lows
Feats, blows
Success, failures
Catalysts, barriers
I’ve always been around them
