FOREWORD

When we create a work of art, we are communicating. If we were to write a sonnet, we would choose different words and a different way of organizing those words than if we were writing a limerick. So it is with visual art – we choose different colours, structures and techniques according to what we wish to say.

Here I present a process for creating landscapes, with basic structures and techniques to ensure success in communicating what you want to visually say - how to say something about the story of your
