Elizabeth Slattery

Elizabeth Slattery resides in New Orleans with her husband of 40 years, her youngest son, and her mother, to whom she is the main caregiver. She is a mother of seven children and 19 grandchildren. Although she has worked outside the home from time to time, she has primarily been a homemaker, caregiver and school volunteer. She is Catholic and a leader in the People of Praise, an ecumenical covenant community. Her son’s Down syndrome diagnosis and her mother’s affliction of dementia have given her ample opportunity to be caregiver, problem solver and prayer warrior for her family.
