This children story-book is based on the many “talks to the children” given by Reverend Douglas Murray of Edinburgh, Scotland, during his numerous years as the Minister of the Scots Kirk in Lausanne Switzerland. It was recorded and patiently transcribed by Vreni Gehring-Hefti, a loving Swiss grandmother of seven.

This book is dedicated to our loving mother, mentor and guardian, Vreni Gehring-Hefti, who has always been the beacon of our family. She has worked tirelessly to keep us united through her selfless love, her firm, intelligent guidance, and through her unswerving love of God. Not to mention the innumerable weekly family meals.
Our mother believes in a God who exerts positive thinking, is full of mercy, and acts tirelessly to make the world a better place. Minute step by minute step. This is the God she wrote about when she transcribed the talks given by her cherished Rev. Douglas Murray, during his many years as the Minister of the Scots Kirk in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Vreni Gehring transcribed these short stories for her grandchildren as they were growing up, to
