    Do you hear?

    Things of God

Does God still speak to people?

A young man went to Bible study on Wednesday night.

The pastor shared about listening to God and obeying the word of the Lord.

The young can not help but wonder, Does God still speak to people?.

After he went out for coffee with friends, and they discussed the message.

Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways.

It was about 10 o’clock when the young man started driving up home.

Sitting in his car, he started to pray, God, if you still speak to people speak to me. I will hear it.’ll Do everything to obey him.

As he drove down the main street of the town, he had the strangest thought: Stop and buy a gallon of milk. He shook his head and said out loud, "God is the Lord? ‘. He got no response and continued heading for home.

But again, the thought buy a gallon of milk.

The young man thought about Samuel and how he did not recognize the voice of God, and as Samuel ran to Eli

Okay, God! Should it be the Lord, I will buy the milk.

That does not seem to be a very difficult test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and bought milk and started off toward home.

As he passed Seventh Street, he again felt the urge, Turn down that street. This is crazy he thought and drove on past the intersection.

Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street. At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh. Half jokingly, he said out loud, Okay, God. I will. He drove several blocks, when suddenly he felt like he should stop. He Brecou and looked around. It was a mixed area of trade and residence. It was not the best but it was not the worst of neighborhoods.

The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already sleeping, but one the other hand it was on.

Again, he sensed something, Go and give the milk to the people who are in the house across the street. The young man looked at the house. He started to open the door, but came back to sit. Lord, this is insane. How can I go to a strange house in the middle of the night.

Again, he felt that he should go and give the milk.

Finally, he opened the door, "Okay God, if this is you, and I will give them the milk people. If the Lord wants me to look like a crazy person, very well. I want to be obedient.

I guess that will count for something, but if they do not answer right away, I am out of here."

He crossed the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside, like the cry of a child. A man’s voice sounded loud:

Who’s there? What do you want?. The door opened before the young could escape. Standing was a man dressed in jeans and T-shirt.

He had a strange look and did not seem happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep.

    "What
