    Acknowledgments

First, I must thank God for giving me a second chance in life to write this book. I truly thank my Creator for His love, His mercy, and His saving power. To my loving grandparents, Mrs. Elsie Smalls and Mr. Herman Smalls, for setting the faith-based foundation and teaching me what loving God truly means. Special thanks to Women Helping Women Ministries and many other churches in the community that kept praying for my recovery.

Special thanks to Mr. Shapel Mallard, a special person of integrity and intuition whom God has placed in my life. He always knew what I needed before I asked. I remember vividly he called and said, If you consider me as a friend, then please accept my help. I am not your friend if you need help and refuse to call on me for help. I may not have accepted his help at the time, but those thoughtful words will always stay with me. His continued help and encouragement contributed to my success.

Sincere gratitude to Anesha Castellano, Sister Andrean Phillip, Seymour St. Louis-Gregorio, and Joseph Lovell for their help in typing this book.

Thanks to my family, especially my two children, Omar and Joseph. Omar, my firstborn, was always there to give me solid advice. He truly has been my coach. His spirit inspired me to write this book. Words are not enough to thank my youngest son Joseph. After hours of working on this book, he was always there waiting to give me a hug, always asking, Mom, how was your day? He was truly inspirational. Writing this book would have been more difficult without his support.

Sincere thanks to Rev. Dr. Williams J. Simmons for his teaching on the importance of universal law. His teaching continues to be a guiding force for my work.

Again, I am truly grateful to all contributors who supported this project. May God continue to bless all of you abundantly.

    Preface

In almost every human being there is room for improvement in various areas of life. Some people need to improve in character, health, and finances. Whatever areas need improvement in your life, this book will take you on the path of improvement. You will realize that the kingdom of heaven is truly in you. You are far more powerful than you think. Wisdom Speaks will help you to tap into this power to bring about a positive change in your life. It teaches the importance of thought, words, energy, vibration, and the power of the blood. It unlocks many doors and reveals truth that will free you from your own mental prison.

This book is mainly for those who are ready to embrace change. Many talk about change, but that’s as far as they go—just talk. In most cases, it’s due to fear, whether conscious or subconscious. This book will help you to remove the mental blocks and take you on the path of success. When you get on this path, you will not be left empty handed. You will be given the methods you need to improve your life. This book is similar to a flower garden. There are usually many different flowers in a flower garden, but they are all flowers in the same garden.

There are many different areas of discussion in this book, but they all point to knowledge, wisdom, and the understanding of life. Wisdom Speaks proves that the Bible is truly a book for prosperous living. It goes far beyond Bible stories. It is truly a great book that must be utilized according to space and time. Jesus shared stories in order to bring across His message; therefore, the people could learn how to perfect their lives. Wisdom Speaks takes you down this same path, especially to those who are awakened or want more out of life.

Wisdom Speaks will take you on a journey. When you return, you will never be the same. Just remember to take what you have learned and uplift someone. The book was divinely written; when the Holy Spirit stopped speaking, I knew I had to stop writing. I hope this book will be a blessing to you.

The Bible is a book for prosperity. When it is read with a critical lens, you will receive wisdom that will transform your life. For this reason, Wisdom Speaks shares various interpretations concerning many scriptures. Thinking practically, you will see the light. Be triumphant now!

    Introduction

Most people are so enchanted with prosperity or success that they miss the very ingredient that is needed to create or magnetize success. The magical ingredient is wisdom. This word wisdom has been thrown around so many times that we often miss its true meaning. What is wisdom according to God’s standard?

Wisdom is doing what is right, honest, and fair. It is a fact that God represents wisdom. The Bible makes it clear that God takes no pleasure in fools. Ecclesiastes 5:4 (KJV) says, When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. And Proverbs 1:7 gives further verification, The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Without wisdom, you cannot prosper effectively. For those who seek wisdom, it will be revealed through the word of God.

When you study the Bible with a critical lens, wisdom will speak to you. The interpretation behind Bible stories leads to wisdom. When you live by God’s principles or universal laws, you are executing wisdom. The verses in the Bible such as Galatians 6:7 (KJV)—whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap—and Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)—For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he—all point to wisdom.

We must begin our lives with wisdom. This is the key to a successful life. This may sound too simple to be significant, but think about this question: Don’t most problems in life stem from bad decisions we have made? If we used the Bible as a standard of measure, we would avoid many problems. All the chapters in this book point to wisdom, taking you on the path of health, peace, and success.

Seek wisdom; it is waiting to lead you beside still waters. Seek wisdom; it is waiting to make you wise, honest, and fair. With these attributes you become more in alignment with God’s requirement for human beings and how they should live. As a result, the universal law—so as a man thinketh so is he (Proverbs 23:7)—will be a blessing and not a curse. You will not be afraid to reap, because the instruction of wisdom will direct you to plant only good seeds. Meaning, you will do what is right in life. This will help you to receive what is rightfully yours.

Please do not equate happiness or success only to money. There are many millionaires and billionaires without health or peace. Wisdom truly leads the way for prosperous living.

Many fail to utilize wisdom or to do what is right, honest, and fair. They do not realize that their deeds are waiting to bear fruit. When these fruits appear as misfortune, they become saddened, not remembering that they planted those seeds themselves. Sometimes these seeds of negative thoughts or injustice to others have been planted so long that they miss the connection when they experience misfortune. If they do self-examination, they will realize that they are reaping what they have sown, because the universe is fair. Remember, God is the just judge.

One woman had four beautiful daughters; they were always exquisitely dressed. One could take a look at them and instantly realize money was not a problem. Because her children had great physical features, the woman would laugh and make awful comments at every child she saw who was overweight. When I saw her girls twelve years later, they were extremely obese, looking more terrible than the overweight people their mother had laughed at. She is now embarrassed to walk around with her children. She is fit and trim, and her children are obese.

Her thoughts and her deeds, which she planted over twelve years, now returned unto her. She laughed at people and overweight children, and now her children are being laughed at. If she had exercised wisdom, she would have realized that what she sowed she would also reap. There is nothing wise, fair, honest, and right about laughing at overweight people.

When you understand universal laws, you will realize that wisdom is important. This book will take you on your path of success by depositing wisdom in your life. Practice positive thinking and doing good deeds. Do what is good in the sight of God. This is the essence of wisdom.

    Wisdom

When it comes to wisdom, the Bible certainly leads the way. Wisdom will reveal itself more quickly to those who desire to move to a higher level of consciousness or simply for those people who desire success or to be better human beings. Wisdom is part of life’s equation. To live without wisdom is to have a life not worth living.

The Bible clearly states that what we think about we will bring about. This was profoundly stated in Proverbs 23:7 (KJV), As a man thinketh so is he. This in itself reveals that if we change our thoughts, we will eventually change our lives. Our present life circumstances could be the result of our thoughts. If we believe in the Bible, then the importance of the power of thoughts and words should be meaningful to us. The Bible often affirms the effect of positive thinking in our lives. If this was not of great essence, God (who inspired man to write the Bible) would not have stressed the importance of positive thoughts as stated in Philippians 4:8 (KJV), Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

In the book of John 4:24 (KJV), it states, God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. The Bible states that when we worship God, we must worship Him in spirit and in truth. Many have various interpretations of this scripture. Therefore, let us think spiritually and practically to help grasp this meaning effectively. The most spiritual part of you is your mind and emotions. You cannot worship God without your mind. This satisfies the worship in spirit. The Bible again tells us that the Spirit of Truth is the Holy Spirit in John 16:13, which represent purity and holiness.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (John 16:13 KJV)

So here we are with two main ideas: you must worship God with a clean mind, and you cannot worship God with hatred in your heart. The Bible states in John 4:23–24 (KJV) that Jesus in His teaching made it very clear that God seeks praise from only those who wish to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

²³But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

²⁴God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23–24 KJV)

Absolutely and unequivocally, a clean mind is necessary to worship God. I feel very sorry for fellow Christians, other believers, and spiritual leaders who are double minded. They serve God with their words and not with their hearts or minds. Before Jesus stressed the importance of worshiping God with a clean mind, the Old Testament warned us many times. Jesus was truly a reminder and confirmation of that fact. It is also the Spirit of Truth, which is God’s guiding spirit, that will teach us wisdom. If we are willing to obey, it will keep us from sinful thoughts and actions. This spirit also gives man knowledge for all technology. Yes, from the Spirit of God to the mind of man, you have access to technology. All truly belongs to God!

In Joshua 3:5, it was told to the children of Israel, Sanctify your hearts and God will do great things among you. At the time, the Israelites wanted to hear from God; they wanted favor from God. They needed to come as close to the tabernacle as possible, but Moses and even Joshua made it very clear that cleansing was important. In Ephesians 5:14, it states, Rise from your sleep and the blessings of Christ will shine on you. Surely, the Bible is not talking about physical sleep. When we are not living according to God’s word, it’s a form of sleep, because our spiritual bodies are not being used to bring glory and honor to God. In that light, we must rise from our sleep of deception! Rise from our sleep of unforgiveness, fornication, adultery, foolish talk, lust, and other negative behavior! When we are spiritually asleep, our spiritual bodies are at rest; when we think negatively, our minds are at rest from doing or magnetizing what is good into our lives. Further, when you are spiritually asleep in your sinful ways, how can you be used to do great things for God? Many people want God to use them to do great miracles, yet they are asleep in their sinful behavior.

We can also take a look at David’s life. David knew the importance of maintaining a clean mind. Therefore, he wrote Psalm 51 asking God to create in him a clean heart. By now we know that David was not referring to his physical heart. He was talking to God about his spiritual heart—of course, his mind. When people of today sing the song Come into my heart Lord Jesus, they still believe it’s their physical heart. It held true then, and it holds true now that negative thinking destroys positive thinking, and positive thinking is the key to prosperous living. Use Psalms 51 and be willing to cleanse your mind now. This psalm can help you to rise from your sleep; therefore, God can help you to prosper . This psalm helps with confession, repentance, and contrition.

¹Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

²Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

³For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the
