As a freelance journalist, author and poet, Asha Iyer Kumar has dabbled in various genres of writing. She made her literary debut with the novel Sandstorms, Summer Rains in 2009 and is presently a columnist with Khaleej Times, Dubai, writing on Life and Living. Asha has a degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Kerala. She is also a creative writing tutor, and her interest in other forms of visual art has seen her foray into painting and photography as well. She lives in Dubai with her family.
