Beyond Infinity and Back
()
About this ebook
It is an unfolding of the quest to spiritually force the universe to deliver that love as with magic.
It is a reflection in song of the wonder of loving and being loved in return.
And finally it is about lessons learned and things discovered during the journey of life and love.
Chris C Bresler
As long as forever, Chris Bresler had a yearning for his Twin Flame. It might be from the loss of his father at two, his only brother, still unborn… or, as he believes, his spiritual lover lost in another life. At school, he wrote essays. At university, his quest brought him to the magic of poetry. He studied literature for three years under Professor T.T. Cloete, prominent critique and South Africa’s most renowned, living, Afrikaans poet. It took him through relationships and heartbreak disappointments, and a marriage of 25 years. The divorce left him emotionally ravaged, but with four magnificent sons. His discontent showed in endeavours from assurance sales man, journalist, lecturer and businessperson, to private inventor, artist and writer. Through the marvel The Internet, he ultimately found his Alice. They now live happily in their wonderland in Bloemfontein, on their idyllic smallholding built up over 25 years, called Alicestate.

4-Physical%20P4-(no%20numbers)%20Dedication%20on%20pic3.tifDedicated to my most lovely
and dedicated wife
Debbie,
the love of my life.
.
I was always yearning after my true love,
no matter with whom I was,
searching, feeling unfulfilled in every way . . .
My love
it all changed when I met you.
The yearning is gone
and for the first time in my life
I was where I wanted to be . . .
I was home.
5-Physical%20P5-(no%20numbers)%20Author%20quotes%20with%20pic4.tifLife
is all its measures of strife
and strive!
Life without love,
is but an archive
of reminders of the above . . .
But even if now an impossibility,
all that is sure of love
is its unreliability
and fall;
and of life
its unpredictability
and end.

Within me today
my spirit enthused,
by disarray
infused . . .
we
stood there immobile,
separated
but by the distance of a distinctive smile;
held back in trance
only by our insulated glance;
only kept apart
by the way my bouncing heart
considered you,
and in response you
contemplated me
and the surrealism of this actuality:
another wife’s man,
another man’s wife.
Outset
After the seasons and forever
of the foregoing year,
and the outburst
of my universe and worst,
I am now
where jealousy and dread can bow . . .
not in spite of devotion,
but into acceptance
of the meaning of affection
and release
-those specters of deception
and misperception!
I wisely unwind
into composed and calculated accord
mind and mettle . . . and find
divorce like death a sword,
distrust like dearth a desert,
where all are ravenous, everything inert,
where spirits suffer and pervert!
Bindings
Close your eyes and join me
instead of leaving,
even if just your lust you give me,
your conceded carnal heaving.
Let us, for a while,
exchange identities, since it is our style
to live in dream-exile
and imagine nothing has changed
in our reality.
I almost believed you could again . . .
except you were just imitating
someone else, no binding
of the mind occurred.
But, whenever it is I, my heart,
who think of leaving
or staying
longer with this smart,
hold my hand for just a moment,
hold my heart a moment more,
even if it is just a fragment . . .
and then release me,
even if as before,
against my tormented core.
Conquered Care
Days of dejection
at my feet
lay waste
by displaced
care and heart-rejection–
lost regard is like defeat.
A heart alone
is like a structure without capstone,
rule overthrown!
A heart alone
is a grave without headstone . . .
Decades of discontent and ill intent
stay around one’s waist,
displaced by affection misspent
and a heart erased–
rejected love is worse than waste.
The Beating
The beating of the heart,
severe
punishment for love
sincere
Passage
Winter . . . winter
turn and toss,
my heart is mounted on a midnight-cross.
In this winter sadness
nothing is true,
everything is madness,
everything is you.
Winter . . . midwinter
this blizzard wave,
my mind is buried in a memory grave.
In this winter morbidity
everything is blue,
an angry serendipity
with everything due.
To my innermost disgrace
like an abysmal scream,
an exposing beam
lays across my face.
In this midnight-winter,
this winter-white,
suddenly a splinter
tears off and splits my sight.
This memory-tired pair,
my dread, my care . . .
has nothing there buried,
has her everything there.
Winter . . . winter this woeful loss,
my spirit is ferried
from nowhere
to across . . .
Balancing Act
I dwell in the melody and method of my poetry, defined
for her, yet afterward find myself confined
in her luring metre and style, styled in the meaning
that she begot– then always afterward, I am screening
her in arrangements of telltale
prose and fairytales, which then compose my scale . . .
They are now burning poems and imprison writers,
and as they falter before the persecution
of some manmade inquisition,
I fall before the religion of her alibi:
her love and loveliness– the mute fighters
