The Fairy Dragons of Rainbow Mountain
()
About this ebook
The Fairy Dragons of Rainbow Mountain tells of a magical family of fairy dragons who have been asleep inside their Rainbow Mountain home for many, many centuries. Their awakening coincides with the return of the Magic to the earth in order to break the spell that the Darkness has held over the minds and hearts of the humanfolk for many aeons. As the fairy dragons enter a much-changed world from the one they remember, their experiences present some very interesting challenges. The most important thing to know about fairy dragons, however, is that as well as the magical powers they possess, they are also filled with love and compassion for the humanfolk and so are able to touch the hearts and minds of all those they encounter.

Faraway in the majestic peaks of a great mountain range, hidden from all who would seek to find it, lies a magic mountain. The snow that covers it all year round shimmers with a bright and beautiful light, flickering through a range of rainbow shades and lighting up the night sky with a wondrous glow. This is Rainbow Mountain!
Deep inside this mountain are great caverns of rock crystal and within these caverns resides a colony of tiny dragons. These are the fairy dragons of Rainbow Mountain and they have been asleep inside the mountain since the Magic left the Earth, awaiting the time of its return. For these little creatures, being a part of the Magic, were forced into hiding with the coming of the Darkness.
The dragons of Rainbow Mountain bear very little resemblance to their much-feared counterparts of the Netherworld. Their scales are a silvery green, satin smooth and shiny. Their eyes are large and round, gazing out at the world with a childlike curiosity, while a snub nose gives a quaint and endearing quality to the face. Two small wings protrude from between the shoulders and a short stubby tail helps them to balance when standing. In size they grow no larger than a small child and fairy dragons never, never breathe fire. Also, they are strictly vegetarian, their diet consisting mostly of fruit, berries and various leafy plants. However, it has been noticed that for some unknown reason these magical creatures are extremely partial to cream buns.
It is to the children of our world that the fairy dragons are drawn, although this does not mean that adults cannot see them. For in every man and woman is a child who never grows old, who sees the world through eyes of wonder and who is connected always to the realms of magic and mystery. To those adults who understand this, the dragons of Rainbow Mountain sometimes appear!

Now in the days before the Darkness overtook the Earth the people were happy and healthy and filled with the joy of life. They lived mainly in small villages, in harmony with nature and with each other, and peace reigned.
All people worshipped the Earth Mother and understood that the laws
