Debee Bee always had a deep fascination with nature throughout her life. She grew up in a semirural part of Northampton, Massachusetts. Being the eldest of 4 children, she was given the task of being in charge of her siblings. They all loved to explore nature with her, as it was one of her greatest passions. Debee Bee seemed to have the uncanny ability to communicate with the land and many of its little creatures. As an adult, Debee Bee found her way back to nature after discovering The Green Mountain Druid Order in Worcester, Vermont. She took their three-year druid training, and said it was one of the best things she did for herself in her adult life. Although she never saw herself as a writer, she became inspired to write during her first year of the druid training. Her urgent concern for the environment has directed her down the path of inspiring others to actively participate in its well-being.
