After he retired and his wife subsequently passed away, John ventured into the world of literature where he ultimately found his purpose. John resides in Essex, England. He is also the author of The Egrenon series: Egrenon, Land of the Blittes, The Rise of Yarifel, and The New Mirsur Blood.

‘I told you boys to be ready early!’ Mrs. Ross said sternly to her sons, Michael and James. ‘Your sister and I are waiting! … Carol, dear, run along and collect our bicycles, the boys can fetch their own—’ she said to her daughter. Returning to the foot of the stairs, she called to the boys, ‘I am busy today, we’ll go on ahead and you can catch-up, I cannot wait for you now.
