After he retired and his wife subsequently passed away, John ventured into the world of literature where he ultimately found his purpose. John resides in Essex, England. He is also the author of The Egrenon series: Egrenon, Land of the Blittes, The Rise of Yarifel, and The New Mirsur Blood.

A year had passed since the young Ross brothers discovered the ancient chests in the lighthouse. The town began to enjoy their best year for tourists and that was due to the coming regatta. Every guest-house was fully-booked for the whole season, every holiday cottage let, every mooring taken, and the townsfolk prospered. This summer, the town council and the marine authorities hoped the regatta would put the town on the map. The local council announced a carnival, fêtes in the surrounding villages, and a town theatre production of ‘Li’l Abner,’ a comedy favourite amongst the older holidaymakers.
