About this ebook
At the same time, on another planet, a child prince, whose father died before he can remember, longs to know more than the stories of his fathers heroism and bravery. He wants to meet his father, but can he? Are such dreams possible on the Somewhere Else Planet? In the Otherwhere? Anywhere?
Can childrens dreams come true? Is making a wish come true complex or simple? What skills must a child acquire to realize a dream?
Anna and the Otherwhere is a unique fantasy from the days before the recorded history of Finland when there were still those who knew how to use innate abilities that have now all but been forgotten. This timeless tale of longing, love and learning will delight all those from nine to ninety.
Carita Lewis
Jancis Dienes was born in England of English and Hungarian Heritage. She moved to Australia with her family in her late teens. She studied philosophy, education and literature in Australian Universities. Though from a highly academic family her own loves were poetry, art and writing. She became a teacher and her classrooms radiated writing, music, painting and drama. Jancis met Carita Lewis in Clearwater, Florida. She loved Carita’s wonderful art. As she mused over the paintings in a quiet empty room, a story emerged from its hiding place within those paintings and the romantic fantasy Anna and the Otherwhere was born. Carita Lewis was born in Helsinki, Finland. She started drawing as soon as she was able to hold a pencil in her hand. At 16 she received her first set of oil-colors as a gift -that was the beginning of her first oil paintings. She likes to create colorful, vivid images that bring beauty and happiness to the viewers of all ages and place a smile on everyone's face! She currently lives in Delaware in the United States. Lonely, young Princess Anna finds herself in another world–a world where your fondest dream can come true providing you pass a few difficult tests that in the end prove to be magically simple, but only if you use that long forgotten ability that every person possesses. Not only is Anna and the Otherwhere a delightful love story to charm anyone from nine to ninety, it is also a gorgeous art book. "This book was very inspiring. It gave me a warm feeling and it had a perfect ending!” Shannon, age 13 “I really liked this book. I wouldn’t change a thing about it at all. It was very descriptive.” Melanie, age 12 “Unforgettable and entrancing" Peter, Adult

Acknowledgement
Firstly I want to thank Carita Lewis for her beautiful paintings, without which this story would never have been written. It was during an afternoon spent with Carita’s paintings that the inspiration for Anna and The Otherwhere was born. Thank you also, Carita, for your trust and patience through the ups and downs of the publishing process.
Secondly I want to thank all those who read the manuscript,
giving me their feedback so that I could enhance the story.
Thirdly I must acknowledge and thank my infinitely patient, wonderful editor, Sioux Hart, who put up with my arguments and ignorance until we happily came to agreements. She fine-tuned the story with great diligence. Thank you so much Sioux.
Finally I want to thank you, the reader, for sharing my universe.
Welcome to The Otherwhere.
Chapter One
ANNA
15315.pngOnce upon a time far, far away in the north of what is now called Finland, stood a great castle. It lay so far to the north that in that place, where it towered to the clouds, now and forever met together and here and there could be in the same place. It lay so far north that it touched The Otherwhere, where young angels are schooled and almost no man has ever been.
In that castle and in those times lived a lovely young princess named Anna. Those times were even before the tales of the Kalevala, which, I must tell you if you are not Finnish, is the story
