Biography of Wade Adklsson: Wade Adkisson is the Pastor of the First Church of Religious Science and its Institute of Religious Science in New York. He is a frequent lecturer on the Science of Mind and Ernest Holmes. He speaks each Sunday in New York City. He is a founding member of the Peace Committee of Religious Science International. Before becoming a minister he was a corporate executive in the business world. Reverend Adkisson is known for his clarity in teaching and his treatment work as a minister of Religious Science.

This book is an opportunity to share treatments that were used successfully by my congregation in our Sunday meetings. Treatments were written to inspire each one in their daily spiritual work and for my work as Pastor of the First Church of Religious Science in New York City.

Introduction

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT—

SCIENTIFIC PRAYER

Ernest Holmes tells us that prayer is a movement of thought within the mind of the one praying. This movement of thought moves along a definite line of meditation and is for a specific purpose.

Spiritual Mind Treatment is a conscious movement of thought. This movement begins and ends in the thought of the one giving the treatment. All movement takes place within the mind of the practitioner and as the practitioner knows the truth within his mind, it moves through the Creative Mind of God because there is only one mind.

Each treatment begins with a definite and specific goal or desire for a particular individual. The movement of thought takes place as a spiritual awareness in our recognition of a Creative Power and Presence in the Universe.

This spiritual awareness moves us into a spiritual acceptance of our oneness with this Divine Presence and isalways creating by means of each one of us out of the one infinite Mind.

This spiritual acceptance embodies the love of God and the givingness of Spirit forever giving to Itself by means of each one of us. We place our desire as a Spiritual Idea in the Great Creative Law of Mind and move into a spiritual knowing that it is done unto us according to our belief.

We deny all blockages in this spiritual knowing and then affirm and reaffirm our desired good as moving through the great Creative Action of the One Infinite Mind.

When we attain a sense, a spiritual realization, that our work is done, that our word is unfolding out of the One Infinite Mind in our perfect demonstration of good, we then release our word into the Law of Mind-in-Action and proclaim and so it is.

When we realize our Oneness with Spirit, that there is but One Mind, One Spirit, One Body, we can accept that our word has the
