It is 11:30 p.m. on a Friday night Jay is cruising over to the Mercedes Benz dealership on Royal South Parkway to check out the latest rides at the dealership while the music by D-Feezy song entitled plays heavy in the background to introduce the movie. He heads down Feldwood Rd. passing Benjamin E. Banneker High School and the Bank of America building that sits on the corner of Feldwood Rd. and Royal South Parkway. A shift change is taking place at the Bank of America building.
Once Jay makes to the Mercedes Benz dealership he parks his car on the curve. He leaves his car running and heads straight to the grass to get a better look at the cars.
While Jay is set himself up to get a closer look at the cars a police cruiser pulls up on the scene. The officer parks his car and proceeds to investigate the matter a little closer after calling for backup. Jay knows the officer is present but he doesn’t look back. He goes on gazing at the cars.
Jay
Before you say anything… I’m not out here to steal a car.
Officer
Well what are you doing out here?
Jay
Just looking.
Officer
At 11:30 p.m.?
Jay
Is that a problem?
The officer doesn’t respond back.
The officer thinks Jay is still up to no good but Jay leaves the scene before the officer does. Feedback is heard from the officer’s radio as he stands alone looking at the cars.
Jay pulls into driveway where he and his twin sisters live along with their grandmother, they call her G-G but the funny thing about Jay’s car doesn’t want to turn off after he makes it into the driveway but once it does and Jay exits the car a cat jumps out of the trashcan that is nearby and nearly scares Jay half-to-death as he gets ready to enter the home.
Dogs are heard barking and an ambulance is heard in the distance
Jay puts the lid back on the trashcan before he enters the home.
G-G’s home is decent.
Jay unlocks the front door and as usual he finds everyone sound asleep. He heads for the refrigerator and drinks the OJ straight out of the container like he normally does. After drinking the orange juice he checks in on G-G who is sound asleep with her lamp on.
For some strange reason G-G always falls asleep with her bible immersed in her bosom. Jay tries to remove the bible as he always does but to his surprise he almost awakes G-G from her sleep. So Jay leaves the bible alone and eases out of the room. He goes into his bathroom and brushes his teeth as he prepares for bed. After he finishes brushing his teeth he goes into his room.
After taking his shoes off he goes into his sister’s room to check on them but when he turns on the light he nearly wakes them out of their sleep. So he turns the lights off quickly and heads back to his bedroom. He grabs his towel that hangs is hanging on his closet door and heads back to the bathroom to take his shower.
After taking his shower he comes back into his bedroom in his pajamas fully dressed for bed. He then turns his radio on to listening to some heavy bass rap music.
Jay then takes his lottery ticket from out of one of his blue jeans pockets that are a the foot of the bed to place the ticket on the nightstand where his radio is.
He then pulls out a empty shoe box from under his bed with lot of different what nots on the inside of it. He takes a look at a picture of his mom that is on the inside of the box. He pulls the picture out of the box. He then kisses the picture and places it back into the shoebox. He looks at his lottery ticket and places it also inside of the shoebox. He turns his fan on in the window so that he can cool off from the hot weather Georgia weather.
Saturday Morning
G-G
Get up!
What do you think you are going to do sleep around here all day? I need the grass cut!
G-G
Jay Walker Jr.! How many times must I tell! Get up!
Jay
Where are Stacey and Tracey?
G-G
They are doing their chores. Now, you get up from here.
Tracey
Where are you going?
