I was born and raised in Lindsay Ontario, Canada. I still live in the area. I am an artist, a poet and a songwriter. Now I have written a wonderful book that I hope everyone will enjoy no matter how young or old you are. It is for the child in all of us. You just have to let the child out to play! When I first wrote the concept for the book I took it to a Toronto production company and they agreed to turn my story into a television series consisting of twelve one half hour shows! I was extremely happy! Once they realized the magnitude of the project they decided to delay the series for an indefinite period of time. This made the writing of the book for you and I all that more important. So once you get the book, let the wonderment of imagination take you away to a place of adventure! An adventure that will transform your world as it did mine!

Billy, are you still playing those video games? called out his mother. Do you know what time it is? It’s way past your bed time!

Ah, come on mom, just one more game! All I need is to get to the next level and I can beat it, whines Billy.

Sorry, off to bed young man. Remember what tomorrow is? Your dad promised to be here and I need you to be on your best behavior, reminds his mom. Let us not have a repeat of last time.

Billy mumbled under his breath and lets out a heavy sigh. With the gamer in hand, he got up of his chair that was located in front of the desk and sulked over to the bedroom door closing it, turning off the overhead light. Proceeding to his bed, he leaves his nightstand light on so he can continue to play his handheld video game.

Billy, turn off that light and put that video game away! This is the last time I’m going to warn you! calls out his mom. Billy... I love you. She waited a moment for a response and was about to head downstairs, when she hears, I love you too mom, bringing a smile to her face. She proceeds to hum her favorite song as she headed downstairs to start baking and preparing for tomorrow’s festivities.

Billy turns off the nightstand light but pulled out his back up, a flashlight! Last chance tonight to make it to the next level. It had taken him many attempts to get to this point and he was not about to stop now. His fingers moved swiftly from one button to another. The sound of the control buttons was like music to his ears; pushing him on to reach the end. The points kept building up. He started to yawn. More points. His vision was getting blurry. The score was getting higher. He shakes his head to try to clear his mind. With a quick hand, he rubs the droplets of sweat from his eyes, trying to clear them. He can barely keep his eyes open. The sounds started to fade in and out. His hands started to slow down... just one more level... just 10,000 more points... just... His head started to nod off. He jerks himself awake. Each time he nodded off, it was longer and longer until his grip on the gamer slowly loosened and falls onto the bed by his side.

A vehicle came around the corner and drove into the parking lot of a plaza, looking for a parking space. Finding one, it gently pulls in between two other cars. The vehicle falls silent. The door opened and out steps a man who shuts the car door and locks it. He walks towards the bank and its ATM machine, located between a drug store and a grocery store. He stopped for a brief moment, lifting up his arm and looks at his watch. With his other hand, the man removed a cell phone from its holder attached to the belt on his pants.

He dialed a number and waited as the ringing begins. Hi Sarah... It’s Tom, he said with a worried tone in his voice. I know, I promised I’d be there Sarah, Billy’s my son too. I’m just getting some money out to buy him a present. I’ll be there in a couple of hours. No, I won’t disappoint him. Don’t worry, I’ll be there in plenty of time for the party. See you then.

He turned the cell phone off and put it back in its holder. Finding the ATM again, he walked over to it. He reached around to his back pants’ pocket and pulled out his wallet, opening it to reveal a picture of Billy behind a plastic window. Tom smiled. On the other side of the wallet holds his credit and business cards. Looking through them, he took out the debit card. As he reached out with his card, a sudden, searing, pain ripped through his head. He grabbed his head with one hand while the other shaky hand still tried to insert the card into the machine. The pain hits again. He cried out for someone to help him as he collapsed onto the street shaking! Fumbling for his cell phone, he tried to dial but it falls from his hand. He calls out, Sarah, Billy... help me!

A hand began knocking on a door. From within came the muffled sounds of laughter and singing. A woman finally opened the door to reveal a birthday in progress. The walls are decorated with banners and balloons. The children are wearing birthday hats, laughing, and calling out around a table, while a lit cake saying Happy Eleventh Birthday sits at the far end with the birthday boy, Billy who was attempting to blow out the candles while others take pictures. Just as Billy blew out the last candle, he looks up and notices his mom talking to two policemen at the door. The smile disappeared from his face. He got down from his chair and slowly walks towards his mom. The room fell silent. Everyone stops what they’re doing and all eyes are turned to Billy. He was halfway to the door when he stopped. He lets out a soft, Mom? His mom, Sarah, starts shaking her head, becoming more disturbed by the minute. Billy’s eyes grew wider and his lower lip began to quiver slightly as he shuffles forward and lets out
