    A FINAL NOTE:

    PREFACE

IT IS CERTAINLY not my intention to make anyone angry, but I know that the truth hurts, and some of the things that must be said are not easy to accept.

Each day, I receive in excess of 4000 emails, (and frankly, I can’t read them all). My time has been blessed by responsibilities on several internet boards, dealing with religious issues, and direct contact with pastors, missionaries, and evangelists all over the world. In an average day, an enormous amount of information must be digested and prayed over.

From those resources, the Lord has shaken me considerably, revealing some things that I really would rather not see. It is so much easier to take the route that Martin Niemoller took for much of his life.

First they came for the Communists,

        and I didn’t speak up,

            because I wasn’t a Communist.

Then they came for the Jews,

        and I didn’t speak up,

            because I wasn’t a Jew.

Then they came for the Catholics,

        and I didn’t speak up,

            because I was a Protestant.

    Then they came for me,

and by that time there was no one

left to speak up for me.

    by Rev. Martin Niemoller, 1945

He was imprisoned at the hands of the Nazi’s, and after the war spent much of his remaining years sharing the reality that seeing the truth and doing nothing about it is not a Godly act. Many churches are burying their heads in the sand and refusing to see what is about to occur. Promised greater prosperity and power by fraudulent preachers hiding behind the name of Christ, they have been sent off to sleep at a time when so many souls are perishing without hope.

But, I would request some grace on your part toward this effort. The Church must awaken to the realities of what she is going to face until Jesus comes for us. It is not pleasant, but action must be taken now.

Some people want to smash and destroy their alarm clocks in the morning. Others get up with just a gentle glance of a new sunbeam. With the emergency situation which now faces the church, it really doesn’t matter how you get up, so long as you do. There is too much to accomplish in these final days to justify anyone lying in bed all day, entertaining themselves with dreams and visions of how nice it will be in Heaven.

My prayer is that God would use this book to send His people back to His Word, understand the seriousness of the issues which stand before us, and then yield themselves to the exciting work of the Holy Spirit, resulting in many souls being brought to salvation by faith in Jesus Christ.

    THE FINAL HOURS

CATHY BOUDREAU, A 15 year resident of New Orleans, was frantic. Her husband was pinned under their car during the worst possible time. He had been trying to replace the universal joint on their 1990 Ford so he and his wife could escape out from the danger which Hurricane Katrina posed. Cathy attempted to use the jack and inch the car from her husband’s leg, but it was unusable and solidly wedged under the heavy weight of the vehicle.

In frustration, she began to run up and down the street, desperately pounding on each neighbor’s door, pleading for a help. But, it was evident that her family was the last to leave the area, and her neighbors had already left her with no hope for assistance. She had frantically attempted to get help by the more conventional ways. She could never get through to Emergency 911. She tried to call some friends by cell phone who lived about 15 minutes away, near Pearl River, but there was no answer.

The weather reports on the radio indicated that the main part of the Hurricane had passed, but the danger from the levees breaking is what concerned her. It was being announced that the city would most certainly be flooded within hours. She knew that if the levees began to crumble, her street would be flooded with water from the Hurricane surge, and her husband, and probably herself would drown.

Cathy had never been a very religious woman. But, with nowhere else to turn, she looked up toward the troubled and dark skies, and asked God for help. She had remembered as a child attending a small church where they explained the importance of John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. She knew that either God would get her through this, or she was soon to die, and the prospect of dying and going to Hell was too much for her. Crying out to God and asking forgiveness, she added, . . . if you could just help us get out of this mess we’re in, too, I would be so thankful.

Then, she hurried over to her husband. He was now unconscious, and unable to respond to her loving touches. At that point, she determined that she would die with him, and went into the house, and brought out a blanket, a soft drink, and a small chair. As she sat down and listened to the howling wind throw slashing torrents of rain down to the street, her ears could hardly believe what she heard next. It sounded like a vehicle splashing through the water-soaked streets.

Cathy listened as it came closer, and then decided to run to the intersection where she knew any nearby vehicle must pass through. As she got close to the intersection, an SUV passed by without noticing her screams and flailing arms. Her hopes for rescue were crushed again.

As she slowly returned to her husband’s still body, she noticed the waters in the street rising slightly higher than they were when she ran to the intersection. That fact was a grim reminder that the waters would soon attain levels that would drown her husband, and sweep her away in their fury.

Once more, she attempted to pull the collapsed jack mechanism from under the Ford, but she failed. Reaching down to hold her husband’s hand during what she was sure would be his final minutes on earth, she once again heard the SUV. This time, it was coming down her street toward her house.

She raced to the street to stop them. This time, they not only saw her but were overjoyed to find another person in that desolate part of New Orleans. The middle-aged couple explained that they were trying to get out of the area and go to safety, but got lost along the way. Cathy told them of her husband’s condition, and that she could get them out of the area if they would help her get her husband from underneath the car, and take him and her with them. They were happy to comply.

As they gently placed her husband in the back of the SUV, they all were aware of how close they had come to drowning. The water was rapidly rising, and within a few minutes, the roads would have been impassible. God had sent an SUV in the final minutes before all would be lost. It was a fact that Cathy Boudreau – and her husband – would remember forever. Great things were done for her and through her in those final minutes before disaster would surely strike.

The Church is about to depart from this world. Within a short time, the rising waters of judgment will flood the earth. But, we are left with an obligation to God until we are taken out of the way and Into safety. We are here as representatives of the Lord to reach the Lost.

This book is about that Last Days vision which God reveals in His Word. The task of reaching the lost and bringing them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ is the most urgent and important work of the Church in these final days before the Bridegroom comes.

We have the option of being foolish or wise. God gives us that choice. To be foolish would mean that we weren’t really made new and given the heart of the Lord. It would mean that we are without oil, a symbol of the Holy Spirit, as were the five foolish virgins.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. – Matthew 25:1-10

YOU ARE NOW LIVING IN THE FINAL TIMES BEFORE JESUS RETURNS

The nearness of His coming can no longer be an issue for debate. Instead, the primary focus for all Believers should be on how we must prepare for His Coming in this generation. The leadership of the Church, if it is faithful to the Lord, will take that issue and hammer it constantly to the hearts and minds of the people under its care. It will be difficult to do. Satan and the world have established the most elaborate attacks to distract and destroy the Church since the Church was created.

If we fail in this effort, we will pay with many tears and lost rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ. If we succeed, it will be only through much sacrifice, many painful battles, and abandonment by those who promote themselves falsely as being the Church in Revival. You must decide if such sacrifices are worth the ultimate victory of bringing souls to Jesus.

At this date, large areas of the world are becoming unreachable with the true Gospel. (By true Gospel, I do not mean the entertainment theology or the Prosperity Gospel which some falsely allege to be the Gospel of the Bible). This cancer upon the souls of men has resulted in the work
