"Glory, glory I said unto thee, Dear Lord, for I know I have sinned. Please Lord, forgive me for my sins. For I’m in love with a man. I would do anything for a man who stood before you, along with a woman that he made his wife. I am wishing that he would leave her instantly so that we could be together. I dislike this woman, because she’s with the man that I love, and I know that this man can’t give his love to me, because of her. Help me

Lord, for I pray for those who are less fortunate in the world, but please lead me in the right path, so that I can do what’s right, and live by your word, Lord, I pray that even though JD betrayed me, I hope that he gets his information in correct standards, and make it back here safe so he can do so…

    In Jesus’ name. Amen."

Kim, who was kneeling down on her knees, prayed to the Lord while in the empty church.

Seven days later as I opened the windows to my soul only to view my nicely covered king-sized canopy bed, the sunlight peaked through the pink mini blinds my mother brought me from her trip to Las Vegas last year staring at me in the eye. I turned away from the sun only to look at my clock. The alarm failed to go off once again. Because I’m late, I woke up for real this time, wishing that I was home.

You are now landing at the Baltimore Washington International Airport., The time here is now 3:30 pm and the weather here is 65degrees and Sunny." The announcement stated as the plane landed.

JD, do you know how much fun we just left? Kim said to JD, who stretched his legs.

We need to go to Canada more often… , Kim said.

How about that? JD said as they both leave the airplane, walking up to claim their baggage.

I say we should do this more often, just you and I having fun, relaxing in a nice clean atmosphere with friendly people Kim stated.

Who happen to talk French… , JD added.

So, JD, um, who was that guy that you were getting hot and heavy with? Kim asked, smiling at JD.

JD smiled back. It was just a fling, but um, he was too high-class, JD commented.

Hey, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, my momma always said, Kim quoted.

How about that? JD said. "Just how about that, Kim repeated after JD laughing.

I see you weren’t trying to give no one a chance, JD said to Kim as they both exited the airport and jumped into a cab. Well, I have a good reason to, Kim said, smiling.

We are going to Cedonia, JD said. Hun, Kim said. Oh yeah, Cedonia, Kim stated and fell into a daydream.

    Love and Work

Umm… umm. Kim mumbled as she and William began kissing in her China-styled loft. I love you so much, Kim said to William between kisses. I’m so glad you were able to stay the night with me, Kim stated. I am too, William replied. I missed you while you were gone to Canada, and nothing was the same without you, William commented. Ah, Kim said, blushing. I’m quite sure you guys managed. Kim thought to herself as her tongue continued to go in and out of William’s mouth.

I wish that this moment doesn’t have to end right now, Kim said, grabbing William’s hand after kissing him.

As long as you stay on the first floor so I can sneak in and out of here, William said with a slight smile. Kim shook her head. I’m just playing, baby, William said, continuing to smile. William pulled Kim closer to him. Baby, you are my everything, and there’s not anything in this world I wouldn’t do for you, William stated to Kim. Patience is everything… Just have patience. William kissed Kim on her forehead before he exited her loft. Kim was right behind him; the two then went to their separate cars.

William was in the lead because his car was right in front of the loft, as Kim’s was further down.

Arriving at the corporate office, William pulled into his reserved parking spot. His two-way pager started buzzing. After parking, William then checked his pager; the name Tracy popped up. William reached in his jacket pocket and called Tracy back.

    Hello, boss, Tracy answered

Hey there, sweetheart. How was your night?

My night was fine, but, sir, I’m concerned about you; you’re late, are you all right? Tracy asked, worrying because William always beat her to work.

Yes, as a matter of fact, ma. I’m in the parking lot right now, William said, smiling.

    What for? Tracy asked.

You are due in court in about an hour, Tracy snickered.

William looked at his watch, which said 8:35 a.m.

Damn! Tracy, Thank you. Today’s court date totally slipped out of my mind William stated.

I’m just doing my job. I left an envelope at the front desk for you to review your notes for the Smart case, okay? Tracy said, cutting William’s words off. Thanks, Trace, I would be lost without you. Tracy smiled. Now bye, boss, Tracy said. Bye, Tracy, William replied, then both parties hung up their receivers. William exited the car and entered the building. Employees began staring at William, greeting him. William then retrieved the packet Tracy left for him at the front desk.

Quickly leaving the law office, William headed for his car.

Kim pulled up into her reserved spot as William drove out of the parking lot. Kim then exited her vehicle and began rushing to her cubicle. Kim was thankful that Tracy (William’s secretary, a light-brown-skinned woman with long red hair, medium built in size) wasn’t at her desk, so she dashed by Tracy’s desk and walked over to the time sheet which was on the table adjacent to Tracy’s cubicle. Kim then looked at her watch which said 8:45 a.m. She signed the sheet for 8:30 a.m., the time that she was supposed to be at work. After signing the time sheet, Kim entered into her workspace, sat down, and turned her computer on. Kim’s office phone began ringing.

Walker, Chaplin, and Associates, this is Kimberly speaking, how may I help you?

‘Don’t think that I didn’t notice that you were fifteen minutes late."

Unbelievable, Tracy, I mean, William is in court… I know you are trying to get brownie points and all, but damn secretary prove it. You weren’t at your desk, Kim said.

Brownie points ha… I like that from a liar and a time thief. Don’t think for a minute that I’m not documenting this, Tracy said mockingly.

Okay, red, it’s too early to be judge and jury. What is it that you want? Kim said sternly.

You have a call on line two, Tracy answered. Kim disconnected Tracy quickly and answered line two.

    Kim.

Kim, Justine Simmons. How are you doing?

Justine, what can I do to help you?

I need to talk to William. Is he near you?

Isn’t that Tracy’s job, but no, thank you, I’ll just call back a little later, okay? Justine added.

All right, Justine. I’ll let him know that you tried to reach him, but for his whereabouts, like you said, that’s Tracy’s job, Kim said, hanging up the phone.

All I need is for two stanks to get on my nerves today. Kim sat at her cubicle for three hours doing paperwork and talking business. Finally, it was lunchtime; Kim decided to stop working and go out for lunch alone, so she logged off her system and walked around to the elevator. Once she arrived at the elevator, Kim saw someone she least expected.

Hey, Morgan, Kim greeted Morgan as she stepped off the twelfth-floor elevator.

Hello, Kimberly, Morgan greeted Kim back. Morgan then brushed by Kim. Kim took a deep breath as her heart dropped. Mrs. Walker, another woman greeted Morgan as the two women departed from one another.

I wonder what the fuck she is doing here, Kim thought to herself as she detoured from the elevator.

Nervous instead of heading to lunch, Kim took a detour and walked to a nearby office located a few feet from the elevator. On the door it has: Office of Luis Gonzales. (Luis is fairly tall, with jet black wavy hair, and brown eyes.) Luis, Kim called as she entered Luis’s office without knocking, while he was typing on the computer. Luis raised his head up, as startled as he was.

Damn it, Kim. Don’t you see the sign on the door! Luis said with his deep voice and broken English. Sorry, I’m jus— Kim tried to finish her sentence. Just what! Luis said, cutting Kim off. Getting on my nerves! Luis yelled. What is it now, Kim? Kim just stood in the doorway of Luis’s office. I can see that you’re having a bad day, so I’ll just come back, Kim stated, closing the door to Luis’s office, and then walked away. Don’t! Luis yelled as Kim shut his office door. Just don’t! Fucking cunta, Luis mumbled. Kim rapidly
