At some point or the other, everyone experiences personal crisis, emotionally and mentally, reaching levels of utter despondency and despair. In some instances, these individuals require interventions which literally borders on the miraculous. Many fail to lift themselves out of such circumstances because they do not know how to access the resources which are able to move them to vitality of life and meaningful living.

The reading of this book will instill hope for those who have come to the end of the road emotionally and spiritually. I want readers to know that a way out has already been prepared beforehand for them. They will learn why all things are possible, but why it doesnt happen, what process they need to follow to invite the miraculous into their lives and how they can live with vitality and dynamism.

The Possibility Zone, The place where faith becomes reality, is a book which explores the realm which possesses all the resources for us to free ourselves from the grip of despondency. It teaches how God has put in place the mechanisms for us to live in vitality and meaningfulness. Examining of the causes of despondency, understanding the nature, design and purpose of the Possibility Zone and implementing the suggested life principles will help people to take hold of their great destinies which lie within their grasp.

FOREWORD

We were made for a life of peace, enjoyment and fulfilled living. Yet so much of our lived experience is one of pain, hopelessness; despair, being misunderstood; frustrated, empty. In the words of the author, using the imagery of plane crashes, Many of us take off in life and arrive safely while so many seem to crash out.

Well, The Possibility Zone opens up new possibilities for Christian living. It is a view of Christian living shaped and formed in the crucible of human frailty; in the ups and downs, pain, suffering, failure, sorrows and, disappointment of life but also in the moments of exuberant joy and celebration. It is the joy and celebration of forgiveness, restoration, reconciliation, peace of life with self, God, family, friends, the world and brothers and sisters in Christ.

Very importantly, The Possibility Zone is in you because Christ lives in you. Because Christ lives in you, you are both a new I and an old me simultaneously. It is that space where the transformation and shaping of the new I takes place so that life becomes more of Him, more like Him and less and less like the old me. In the words of the Apostle John I must decrease and he must increase. In that zone are innumerable resources that can make the new me more and more visible, but there also is the pull of the old me; it involves the new me swimming upstream as the old currents seek to pull downwards but there is always more than enough grace to pull through to the other side.

But the possibility zone is not a place; not a technique; not a method; not a 3 or 5 or, 10 easy steps to gloriously fulfilled life. It is a relationship; it is about relationship. It is a journey of discovery.

The Possibility Zone takes you on a journey of discovery; but it is a journey not away from yourself; or outside of yourself. It is a journey to yourself. In the words of Jesus When he came to himself he said to himself. The Prodigal Son went on a journey of self-discovery. Notice where he made this self-discovery: in the pig-sty; in the pit; when he was at the end of his rope; penniless, helpless, hopelessness. The discovery he made was that there was a new possibility for relationship. To realise that possibility he had to get up; get out of the pig-sty and make the journey to his possibility zone: a relationship with the father. And what a surprise he got. The same surprise awaits you dear reader as you take this journey of self-discovery with this author as your guide. You will find that there is a future; you are that future in relationship with the one who declared ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end'.

The Possibility Zone invites you on a journey; a journey filled with moments of wow! Uncertainty! Elation and joy! Aha - I get it.

The book is inspirational and biblically informed. PREFACE

The difference between abandoned hope and experiencing God's abundant supply is locked up in an area I call the possibility zone.

The possibility zone is the contract of partnership between God's supply of grace and human acceptance of it through acts of faith. The possibility zone is the common ground between God's faithfulness and human dependence expressed in faith activism. It is the arrangement designed by God that he would divinely respond to human initiative in the face of absolute struggle and desperation. God holds steadily and pensively the bow in his hand, waiting for our faith to release his energy into the arrow. The potential effect of the relationship between the all-powerful God and the all-limited earthling is what this book explores.

The possibility zone is an unseen and untapped reality which is accessible to you at all times. It possesses the emotional and mental resources from which you draw, especially when your back is against the wall. The book of Ephesians in the New Testament explains it so vividly: ‘Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly [places] in Christ' (Ephesians 1:3). God has orchestrated our position in Christ to be so advantageous that we are able to access the resources to overcome extreme earthbound challenges. God's supply in Christ often manifests itself in tangible ways. In the possibility zone stands the Master of the universe, ready to invite you to share in the unveiling of what is grand and wonderful. He could do it all by himself. But the story is more glorious as you become a shareholder in all the splendour of your life. And the beauty of it all lies not in perfection but in the acceptance of your imperfection. As God shapes you, you shape your world. God stretches out his arm away from his face, holding your photo frame in his hand and giggling ever so slightly, nodding his head in grand approval. He turns to his Son and says, ‘Everything's going to be just fine.' Jesus said to his followers: ‘I am, come that they might have life and have it more abundantly' (John 10:10). You are about to discover the keys which unlock the vital elements critical to the enjoyment of a fulfilled life.

Come and journey with me as we explore that world-the world of possibilities. Come and see how you can bring into existence what you long for in your life. Discover how you can radically alter what happens not only in your world but more than that, what happens to you. God's amazing wisdom is locked up in you, and it blossoms like a flower as you receive into your heart and mind the perfect will of God. ‘Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things' (Proverbs 28:5).

He has stored up every provision necessary for you to live your life with peace and enjoyment. There are no surprises for God because the end is known from the beginning. You are the one undertaking the journey, discovering the paths set out for you as the hills roll out ahead of you. God has placed stations with supplies ahead of your arrival, refreshing you as you grow up before him. He stands watching over you, seeing the difficulties and the celebrations from start to finish. He's there when you don't get it right, and he parties when you win. ‘The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry' (Psalm 34:15).

You are the trophy in his hand. He raises it aloft from time to time for all creation to behold, boasting with what you are becoming and what you have accomplished. In your darkest hour, an angel towers over you, urging you to look at the clues provided for you. And when you unravel it, these celestial creatures rejoice. Your trials are heaven's concern, and your victories are earth's celebration.

Embrace now all that was destined for you.

INTRODUCTION

Many people are self-deceiving by attempting to assure themselves that they have not given up when, in actual fact they know the opposite is true. And it is very paralyzing to move from such a state of hopelessness into one where things happen. The potential to transform such a dire situation lies in that possibility zone.
