Hello there, I am a 46 yr. old food service worker/Poet I also took 5 years out to be a CNA for a lot of disabled folks It was a learning experience - Yet it is sad how blind we are to our differences? But I enjoyed the work! I really fed off the relationships I developed with customers and co-workers! A few such situation gave birth to some poems. :-) My poetry developed rapidly. Much of it was a gift from on high! Pity I did do realize that sooner? For I would have written more? - And would have returned the praise! For Faith & Family is what empowers my life & are key topics of my prose? I am one of 8 siblings! I was the negotiator in the family - so I've been through a lot! A Crisis came into my life 4.7 yrs. ago. I was jumped by evil spirits. And I fear that my poetry gift has been hindered? Though I am still writing My future looks troubled to say the least! - For the spirits have framed me for two crimes? But I pledge to you my innocence & my ongoing desire to Honor Life - No matter the age or social rank!

Way back about 91 – I was staring at my hands – thinking on their emptiness…

This was the result! – Now if I had only/actually made a habit of praying this??

EMPTY!?!

Empty are my hands

That thou might fill them with thy blessings

But Oh, that thou would empty my heart

Of all that is not for thee

Open me, and see what resides

Is it from thee - Lord, or of some other design?

Force out or burn out

All that prevents thy spirit to abide

For cluttered it is with much to defile

That which is to be thy throne

Let me welcome in the Lord & King

To serve the prince no longer!

Lift up my countenance unto health, My God!

So all might thy light see

For if a creation of thine just works, grinds & moans?

It cannot be a very accurate example of the Powerful Creator
