About this ebook

Each life is given moments of bliss as well as tranquility that come from just being a part of this vast universe. One knows that in order to exist, each positive must have a negative. Life always balances the scale of joy and ecstasy with the weight of pain and sorrow.

The second of three volumes titled Visions of Reality is a mixture of joy and happiness mingled with the pain and sorrows that I conveyed as making life meaningful and rewarding. My visions of what life can be, as opposed to actuality, encourage the reader to maintain hope and assurance in trusting a higher being, God, to comfort and sustain them during the darkest hour. Through the reading of these poems, the reader will gain a quest for understanding love while not rejecting disparity.

Author

Prince L. Whitmore Sr.

The poems from the pen of Mr. Whitmore generated from the heart. Their inspiration came from years of joy and sadness as he fought tenaciously to maintain a spiritual balance in a perplexing society. Mr. Whitmore grew up in Morehouse Parish in Louisiana. His childhood entertainment came from watching the clouds from the roof of his home to brief hikes in the scattered woods of Bonita. In his little world of solitude, he found the tranquil peace of God. Mr. Whitmore has been actively involved in the educational arena for over twenty years. He received his B.A. degree in Social Work from Grambling State University. He also received a B.A. degree in Elementary Education and certification in Special Education from Northeast Louisiana University. He holds a Masters in Administration and Supervision and Plus 30 from Northeast Louisiana University. Mr. Whitmore is the author of Prinothious, a childrens book. He is also the author of The Biblical Alphabet, a book that introduces young minds to Biblical terms.
