A Chaplains Book of Poems # 3

This book of poems is my third edition. Writing poems is a newer gift to me from God. I wrote my first poem February 28, 2012. This new book actually exceeded even my expectations. My first book contained approximately 75 God-inspired poems. This latest book has approximately 150 God-inspired poems.

It seemed daily that I would be inspired to write a poem or, sometimes, two or three.

Sometimes watching a church program on TV would suddenly give me this incredible inspiration to write.

Each poem was a very special inspiration for that day. I never really had no knowledge of the subject or focus of the poem in advance. It was actually exciting to generate a poem as the words came to me supernaturally.

It seemed that there was a poem for just about any problem or situation. Some of the poems, I admit, I really didn't want to write because they were so controversial.

These poems are now read all over the world, and I receive emails daily from about forty countries. I thank God that this little ministry is now reaching thousands and proclaiming the truth of the gospel in poetry.

I am a retired European Naturopath Doctor and a still active Chaplain. Writing poems is a brand new gift from God to me. It seemed daily that I would be inspired to write a poem and the Lord would give me the words, sometimes almost faster than I could type. As an American veteran I am ashamed and concerned

Israel is in a war, it escalates every day

Today I truly want to do God’s will.

Our nation was founded as a nation under God

I’m in the process of moving to a smaller home

Friendship is a blessing, it’s yours to give.

Today I want you to know that God isn’t mad at you

As I listen to our local Christian radio station

As I refreshed my PC today

Do you really want to increase your happiness today?

What if there were birthday’s in heaven

What do you need or want today?

I am trying to load a program on my PC

When you help someone that has a need

As a senior citizen I am confused by this request by the president

As I watch the events of the day

As I see this nation in a rapid decline

Help me Lord just today

America don’t you realize what’s going on?

It seems like I apologize to the Lord almost everyday

We’ve all heard of Murphy’s law

Today’s theme is especially for me

As I read my daily devotional today in Jeremiah chapter 18

Do something that is not logical for many today.

In our younger days many of us were such a fool

As I read my devotional in Psalm 12 today,

Many of us didn’t have a good start in life.

Are you thankful for all you have today?

This world is not my home,

Have you ever been in a frustrating situation like me today?

Now that I am older and know my end is near

God’s desire is for you to succeed in everything you do

When family or friends forsake you, and they will.

Satan is out to destroy me today.

If I asked you how do you get to heaven what what you say?

I don’t know about you, but I need Jesus hour by hour

I am determined to bless someone today

If you’’ve lost a loved because of your sin now

I’ve made so many foolish mistakes in my life

When will you change your evil ways?

Satan is out to destroy you and me today.

SEEDS TO INSPIRE

God gives me these poems. They are like a seed

They are written for all and any that are in need

They answer a problem or situation for some

Yes! They are designed to help but not everyone.

Each person has a challenge going on in their life.

These situations can cause quarrels, heartaches and strife

Jesus didn’t cause these, He came to give us abundant life

So when bad things happen don’t blame your husband or wife.

Satan, the enemy, wants to make you miserable today

So it’s very important that watch what you think, do and say.

Speak kind words, think pure thoughts, do a good deed

And when you are helping others don’t be stingy, exceed

Remember God is watching and He knows whats going on.

In these days and times, we know that we must remain strong.

It’s so good to know that this isn’t all there is or will be.

As a Christian, Hallelujah, we can look forward to heaven for eternity.

Seeds as we all know take time to sprout and mature

So these poems will be available actually for evermore

They may not help you today but they will help some

And when I write what I am told, then my work is done.

THE GRANDPARENT

It’s really rewarding be a grandparent today

Some of the kids are so smart I don’t know what to say.

I have a wonderful grandchild his name is Max

When he asks questions he wants, like his dad, all the facts.

I really enjoy my conversations with him on the phone

He seems to know that I am now mostly alone

And when he talks with me he sounds very grown up

I remember him when he was as little as a pup.

But now he is growing in size and he is very smart

Just like his daddy that’s also close to my heart.

His grandma raves on him day after day

All this proud grandpa can do for him is pray

Pray that he will continue to be the great guy we love

And someday we will all enjoy each other forever above
