There are words in here that are spelt correctly like line but I chose to use lion; same thing goes for the word night but I may have used knight!

    Introduction

Just because I am a young man; though it seems like I was only born yesterday; doesn’t mean I need to believe what the generations before me believed. I am not my own; for this lion has been bought with a price. As you read into this novel; understand not one word will be wasted. The woman; having the alabaster box of very precious ointment; poured this on Jesus’ head. The disciples had indignation saying; for what purpose is this waste.

My life is not a waste; for I am with the giver of life. I love to go to the House of God; for this my friend; is not a waste. I love God; who thought I was not a waste of His precious time. I understand now; more than ever; we can not live by bread alone; but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Since I do have some free time; God and I have decided to write this very peculiar book. I am actually sitting here; enjoying some blue-berry yogurt as we speak. I would get you a spoon, and offer you some; but I do not know who you are. Maybe one day; we will meet up! Then you can tell me your name; and whether or not; you care for this book.

Some of the chapters are short; some are tall; there are even poems that might seem odd. I am a real person; and I am no different; than King David. God had the good, the bad; and the ugly; recorded about this king in the Holy Bible.

Well; who would have thought; I would be writing my introduction last; knowing this part of the book is always first. Today is April the 24th, 2009, and I am sitting on the river bank at Burks Fork; with my uncle Wesley. He has just pulled out a nice rainbow trout. Then two minutes later; he has pulled out; yet another rainbow. I held the Green-Hornet while he walked to the truck; I then caught a rainbow; making that his third. I am back to writing; and Wesley has pulled out of the river; his fourth rainbow trout. While he continues to fish; I am thinking about my trip to Nashville, Tennessee. I leave next week; on a Saturday. I have had an awesome visit; here at home; in Floyd County, Va. Who knows; before I get finished writing this introduction; I might just place a poem in here; to help you as the reader; get your first catch.

I love to write about real life experiences; and I am blessed to be gifted; to be able to write them down on paper. Just above were I am sitting; is the mountain; I will be speaking of; in my book. The readers at home will already know; but to you; it will have to be a secret that is later revealed. Well just look there; ole Wesley has caught his fifth rainbow. You would think there would be some brooks or some browns swimming in these waters somewhere. I can hardly wait to go home; and watch Wesley clean them. Some preacher named Joseph once convinced me; you can not clean a fish until you catch it first. Another gentleman named Danny P said to eat the fish and to leave the bones. Well; Wesley has finally caught his limit; which is six; at least around here; in these parts. Well; after getting water splashed in my face; from Wesley; pulling that big brown out; we can finally go home.

Well we stopped at Willis Village Mart; to get me a bottle of Sunkist orange soda pop. I then got to thinking about that song, Rocky Top Tennessee. I love the lyrics; wild as a mink; sweeter than soda pop; I still dream about her! After a fifteen minute drive; we are now at the Perdue residence. Wesley is cleaning the fish he caught; and I am still writing. I just think it to be hilarious that the ending of this book; is in the beginning. Even; the Holy Bible says the first shall be last; and the last shall be first!

Well; it is Friday night; and around here we go to bed early; for we can get up on Saturday morning. Wesley is almost finished cleaning the fish in his bucket. By now, I am usually out and about in the woods; were I like to go with my dogs; when we do some raccoon hunting. I used to have five coon dogs at one time. Two of them were red bones. Their names were PR Red Fern Jackson and PR Red Fern Taylor. These two I got out of Hickory, North Carolina. The other three were black and tans. The one; I named PR Sooner Cowboy Memphis; was from Oklahoma City; Oklahoma; and Tennessee is the place were I went to go get him. I had ordered him from the coon hound magazine but when I had called this guy; he agreed to bring him half way to me. The other two; I purchased off of Dan Hubbard; who lives

in Floyd County, Va. These dog’s names were PR Sooner Cowgirl Laiken and PR Sooner Cowgirl Sherille. My uncle Jimmy Boothe; now has PR Sooner Cowboy Memphis. I got to visit with the young black and tan while I was in. The blood hound pup that I will speak about in this book; well; his name is AKC Bristol Rainbow Royal General Moses. I just call him Moses. Also, I used to have two roosters whose names were Rhode Island Red Ronnie, and Dominicker Donnie; plus a cat I named "Billy Blue-grass Bob-cat Bob.

Well; if you haven’t already figured me out; maybe you will realize I have already mentioned a spoon and a fork; in my introduction. If you would like to sit down at my table of riddles, I will fix you a plate; but first you must be invited. Come and dine is what we say around here; so now you should know you are welcome; but you will have to wait on yourself. We do not do that part; for you have to do it. Stay all night; stay a little while longer; I will be eating buttermilk biscuits; and a Triple Crown trout in the morning. After that, I will probably go ride one of Duane’s four-wheelers; because the one I had; I sold; a long with everything else; to go on these journeys. I will try to make the most of this Saturday because the upcoming weekend; I might be gone. This week will fly bye fast!

Anyways; I hope to see the lady in Nashville; that everyone speaks so highly of; around here! My cousin Brian says she can sing the birds out of the trees; and have them fly into her hand. If she can Carrie herself as well as her voice; just maybe; she will get this golden blonde opportunity; to speak with me.

Just for you; the reader should know; I have personally given out thirty copies to my friends back home; before this book ever got published; and into the eyes of the public. God has a purpose for this reason. I could hide here with my family, and friends; but that wouldn’t be as much fun for me. I always need a good challenge. My challenge is easy; for I have been practicing; and I have actually gotten pretty good at being a Ghost. I can hide out with people that do not know me as well as they should. These are the best of friends you could ever meet in life, because they are not as judgmental.

Just up and then down the road from my Grandmother Kate’s house; is a place that is very precious to me. I had $48.00 in my wallet that purchased a can of paint; and two fence post. I used all of this that I had bought at C.W. Harman and Son Building Supply; to start my first ever church. There was the rock that I brushed coats of white paint; and made a cross with the two posts which I also painted white. As the cross leaned over the rock; I could now sit down; and read the Holy Bible; the whole way through; for the very first time. As I would go down there each day; God would have me dress the place up. I placed a crown of thorns on the cross. I placed some beautiful flowers at the front of the rock. I found some logs that had already been cut up in the woods. I used these for visitors to sit down on. I would Carrie rocks from the natural springs; to make a wall. People actually thought I was down there preaching; but the cross was doing the preaching when nothing else will. That nothing else will was me; but after seven months of reading the Holy Bible; walking to Christiansburg to get bibles; I then could quote over three hundred verses in the Holy Bible. I would pass bibles out during the day as I was down there on the corner of Highway 787; and the edge of Rocky Hill Road. Mr. James Saunders would weed eat, and cut the grass. Todd Quesenberry and Amos Tessar would bring pick up trucks full of fire wood. Sometimes I would build camp fires; and hand out bibles through the night. The cross and rock; sure would be lit up pretty as we watched the passing cars go bye. All kinds of people were supportive; as they would bring me something good to eat. People would give me money; but I had not need of anything; so I would just use the dollars to go get more bibles. The funniest thing about having that church outside is; some of the good ole boys; like Dale Ray Quesenberry; and Danny Quesenberry; would sit on their four-wheelers while just visiting. I remember after the sunshine had gone that summer; these two trustworthy friends; would still come to see me during the snowy winter. After the seven months was up; I took all that God had me do; down. The reason for this; the Wilderness Church, had served its purpose! There were three brothers; Phillip, Garrett, and Gregory; that always come to visit; but for some reason or another; with their Roanoke Electric Steel Mill Inc. work schedules; they always came separate. Maybe one of these days; I will catch these three turkeys together; when they come flying bye to gobble at me for writing about them in this book. These three friends have always been there for me; even when I didn’t know they were my dad’s first cousins.

I have been on the Appalachian Trail; as I have journeyed to Tennessee; twice before. The first time; I went to see Dixie, and her two older sisters Donna and Deanna. I had actually met them before at a church camp in Dublin, Va. If you notice carefully; these three married women have the letter D at the beginning of their names. Their dad’s name is James Dean. Their mother’s name is Judy, Judy, Judy! If you do not watch much of the Any Griffith Show; you probably do not visit Goober’s garage much neither. So you will have to get your laughing gas to fill up your car; some where’s else! Anyways, those good friends of mine; live in Greenville, and Bristol. The other trip I took; was in Knoxville. After I returned from this; it was more training from God; but at the comfort of being at home. The cops; the friendly people here in Floyd County; would always see me on the roads walking; and offer to give me a ride. They already knew were I was going as they would drop me off on the corner; under our one stop-light. Mostly; all I ever did up there was be friendly; hand out bibles, and just listen. One time, I borrowed a cross, and a stand from Willis Full Gospel Church; to use on the corner for Easter. My cousin Greg helped me with hauling the cross up there. His wife Melissa helped to dress me up like Jesus. As I stood on the platform; some of the young people from the Floyd Church of God handed out several bibles. That was probably the most humbling experience that I had up there doing ministry. None of that Easter would have been possible; if not for Kevin Grubb. He is the one who built that cross and stand for the Easter cantata Myra Cox puts on at the Willis Full Gospel Church. Every year that group of talented people work hard; and are committed to doing this play three times in one weekend; to see souls saved.

Well as time grew on; I could see my assignments from God would only get harder; as I would keep obeying God to leave on these travels. Well, I do hope this introduction to this book; has been pleasant; and here is the poem I promised. By the way; I could never summarize The Lion Codes, but please allow for God’s book to do just that. Who can utter the mighty works of the Lord? This passage from a king is found in the book of Psalms; Chapter 106. Also, just to have this riddle noted; because it is a clue of importance! I always Carrie this one lady; in front of the other six; for she is my perfect ten, secret. Also, just for you; the reader may know! I have set off enough alarms on these journeys to know The Lion Codes are real; for I have personally tested them all!

    Just Another Day

    Children laughing, playing all around

    Running across the grass

    Chasing after BUTTERFLIES

    Parents watching the sunset

    As the day fades away

Grandpa comes out of the house

    Says: its supper time

    They all bow their heads

    As granny says the prayer

    Well, Tommy got done early

So he climbed up on his father’s lap

He says, Daddy, did you know?

    It was just another day

We got to praise the King

    Just another day

    We got to thank Him

    For all He does

    Just another day

    To show Jesus

    How much we love Him

    Soldiers dying, laying all around

    Jets flying across the sky

    Shooting the enemy down

    Civilians worrying at home

    Taking it all in

    Grandpa watches the evening news

    With hope in his heart

He was in a war and

    God had got him through

Sometimes when he had a chance

    And the time was right

To his comrades he would say

    It was just another day

We got to praise the King

    Just another day

    We got to thank Him

    For all He does

    Just another day

    To show Jesus

    How much we love Him

    Chapter 1

    My Love

My Love: the codes for this lion are soon coming from heaven to earth. My Lady: this language will be certain to pleasure your ears as I communicate to your heart all of my trust. My Baby*star: as a lioness you will learn of a book that is so carefully written, it will be called by most a Mystery.

My Love: your beautiful green eyes are as pastures; fields of grass that I run through to get to your soul. My Lady: your stomach is as a wine press; May I feed you your grapes my dearest? My Sweet-heart: should you be getting dressed; you have my permission to see into my eyes which are mirrors and I will show you that you look your very best. My Love: your eyes are as towers of peace that stand tall in what you only can have faith to believe. My Queen: there are stars that rest on my lips that I will place on your hand; they can run up and down your arms, follow up on your shoulders; as I continue giving you your well deserved kisses. My Lioness: your beautiful long hair is as curtains; May I open them to kiss the back of your neck ever so gently? My Love: if daisies could only make you mine forever; the garden of flowers I have prepared for you; will cause many to be jealous.

My Love: if this lion should ever struggle with you; it is because I am struggling within myself; and I will just have to ask God for more help. My Daisy: as a lioness; you may come on my mountain at any time; just come under the stars; lay beside the fire that I have hot underneath the clouds. My Love: if strong courageous horses are your desire; then know chariots of flames can race your heart anywhere; you should want to go; as long as you can handle the reigns that I have placed inside of your hands. My Love: I am as an angel; my wings are softer than anything here on earth; and my hair is more golden than the sunset beneath the heavens. My Queen: as a star myself; my fame is as the moon; as I travel around with the earth; and you my love are as the sun that has to sit still as the waters come in. My Baby*star: I pull in the oceans all night and day; but your strength is kindled as you must rise early and then go down to sleep. My Love: you must remember though; that our pull together is stronger than the tides that keep us apart; and we will always have the one time during the day to visit. My Lioness: as candles that burn within my eyes; never fear to come inside. My Lady: the stars are truly brighter than what they appear.

My Love: good knight, and good morning; which ever shall come first or last; as I continue giving you riddles which are clues to secrets that I have for you. My Queen: little is enough to know all about this lion for right now: and if you ask; you will keep getting riddles that are clues to secrets that I am passing out; from resting with wisdom that is on top of this mountain; were I lay my heart to rest as I fall asleep.

P.S. My Baby*star: there were seven sisters but only one of them is my mother. My Lady Lioness: there were seven beautiful ladies but only one of them is my understanding wife; for I have had the honor of searching out this matter; and my God has concealed this in His glory!

    Chapter 2

    My Queen

My Queen: I am King Arthur James David Solomon Phillips; who writes to you during a dark knight in history. My Love: I am preparing for a great victory as this lighted candle burns hot on my table. My Lioness: as a lion I have sharp claws that can dig into the Word of God; so listen closely as this treasure called wisdom reveals to you the scriptures.

My Love: the enemies encamp on capital hill, but I rest on the mountain top with my God. My Sweet-heart: as an angel who knows the things of the earth; also understand; I am a lord who has been trained by wisdom from heaven. My Lady: democrats are wolves in wolves’ clothing; republicans are wolves in sheep’s clothing; but no matter how they dress it up; a wolf is a wolf; and Satan can not cast Satan out of the White House. Be sure your sins will find you out!

My Queen: I live on the inside of time; which is God’s perfect will for man; so there is everything in a twenty-four hour day that I need to get accomplished. My Baby*star: God is getting ready to over-throw this current government but not the people. My Love: a house and senate that is divided amongst them selves will not stand; nor will her president.
