Writing has always been a passion for me; it has gotten me through good times and bad. I’ve always written as if I was actually living in my writing; my father always told me to write children’s stories. I am one out of six children; I seemed to be the one with the most imagination. I’m a retired hairstylist, creative in everything I’m involved with, so having this opportunity was a great achievement in the first step of “BELIEVING”. I guess, like the theme to this story is to “BELIEVE” in yourself always, and to achieve one’s dreams.

    BOOK ONE

    THE KEEPERS OF THE GARDEN

While sitting in her garden, amongst the fragrant flowers and fluttering butterflies awaiting the arrival of her granddaughter, Grandmother thought to herself, Today couldn’t be more perfect. Feeling a little nostalgic, she let her thoughts drift back to the first time she ever came to this garden with her grandmother as a young girl, a little over seventy years ago. Her wonder and passion and love for this place only seemed to grow stronger as she tended to it every day since. She wished her time here never had to end, but sadly, she knew better. Her heart was heavy but hopeful as she counted the moments until she would pass on the secret to her granddaughter, just as her grandmother had done with her all those years ago. After all, the girls were counting on her . . .
