My Husband He has supported me in all that I do, and has spent lots of time alone while I am writing poems.

A DAY AT HOME

Lord I thank You for the day I got to stay home.

It has been so long that I have not had to roam.

No doctors visits or grocery’s to buy,

Everything lovely, not even a sigh.

Even though I had work to do, I didn’t mind.

It was so restful to be able to find,

The time to do all the things I do best,

And just a little time to rest.

The children came by to visit awhile,

And that left us with joy and a big smile.

It is always a joy to have them come and stay,

Even though it is out of their way.

The washing was done and on the line,

While they dried in the beautiful sunshine.

The bushes were trimmed and they looked so pretty,

This work has to be done even in the city.

So I thank You Lord again for this wonderful day,

I have enjoyed it so much and just want to say.

You are so good to me and give me so much,

That I feel that I have receive the Masters touch.

WHO AM I

I am not worthy to touch His garment, tho I need the master’s touch.

I do so little for You and You trusted me with so much.

Who am I Lord that you sent with a mission?

Have I failed You so much that I don’t see the commission?

Who am I that I never take heed,

That I am sent here to follow a need.

Why do I sit back and wait for others to do,

The work that I am suppose to do for You?

Who am I Lord, I like to think, I am a child of the King,

That loves You enough to do any thing.

But if put to a test, would I be able my love to show,

Only You really do know.

Who am I that I will not even find the time,

To study Your Word so true and Devine.

My prayer life has not always been good,

And I always thought You understood.

Thank You Lord for Your wonderful Grace,

Because I have let You down, and that I must face.

For Who I am, is not much You see.

But thank You Lord for loving me.

A LONELY NIGHT

Dear Lord, it is lonely tonight,

And I have studied with all my might.

I want to walk closer with Thee,

But so much temptation is put before me.

O Lord, don’t let me be cold,

While there are so many souls to mold.

Use me for thy Glory,

And teach me to tell thy story.

Give me a forgiving heart today.

Keep me humble and hear me pray.

Part of me keeps turning away,

And to the world I began to sway.

No time for Thee, No time for me,

But plenty of time for the world to see.

The other half of me, please take,

And a joyous happier person make.

That I will be with you in Glory,

With all the treasures and the truthful story.

With Christ my Savior for ever to spend,

A heart that is broken, will now mend.

A PERFECT DAY

I search for a perfect day and what do I find,

Work and play doesn’t ease my restless mind.

What is wrong I seem to say,

Nothing I do is right today.

I’ve called a friend and talked a while,

But still couldn’t bring myself to smile.

What is wrong with me I say,

I’ve tried and tried in every way.

Nothing happens when I call my friend,

It doesn’t help
