    DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to my praying mother Margaret S. Dennard. I know it was her fervent prayers for me that brought me into the kingdom of God some thirty years ago.

    CHAPTER 1

    GOD

Everything we know and even those things we have not yet seen came into being somehow. Have you ever asked yourself the question, Where did I come from?

I cannot prove to you there is a God. That type of knowledge only comes through spiritual revelation. However, we know everything around us has been here for a long time so it is only expected that we may ask: Where did all this, even me, come from?

A plain question one could ask is: If everything is made of something, then where did that something come from? Many different people would have you believe many different things, all of which are beyond what can actually be proven. One such thing is the theory of evolution. A theory is just an educated guess that something works a certain way. There is NO PROOF that it is true; it is just a theory. Webster’s dictionary defines the word theory as, An assumption or guess.

Instead of guessing at where everything came from, let’s look at some established principles that are acceptable. These principles will put my argument in a way that can be understood:

1—A book is the proof of an author.

2—A song is the proof of a song writer.

3—A car is the proof of an engineer.

4—A hamburger is the proof of a cow.

5—Creation is the proof of a Creator.

The very first book of the Bible, the very first chapter, the very first verse states: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1:1). Creation speaks of the material universe, the creation of heaven (the atmosphere and outer space) and the earth, and all things originally created therein. The heaven was created first, then the Earth. The word beginning refers to the dateless past when there was as yet no material universe or the heavens and the Earth could not be spoken of as being created or brought into existence at that time. There was as yet no day or night, nor time, for they had not yet been created.

The word created is from the Hebrew word bara. The primary idea is to bring into existence something new, even if the something new is to be made out of already existing material.

In Hebrews 11:3 we read that the things which are seen [the visible things] were not made of things that do appear or that were visible [My paraphrase]. The material world is made out of invisible stuff; stuff the naked eye cannot see. What is this stuff?

What is spiritual substance? Spiritual substance is as real as natural substance except it is of a higher type of matter and is governed by spiritual principals. A spiritual being, such as an Angel, can appear as material or be immaterial (invisible). Heaven (where God resides) is a spiritual place, it is a real place but you cannot look up into the sky and see it, yet Heaven is there. The Bible speaks of this Heaven as the third heaven. There is the atmosphere (first heaven), then there is outer space (the second heaven), then there is Heaven, God’s abode (the third heaven).

Spiritual material is what the material universe, or the universe as we know it, is made out of (remember Hebrews 11:3).

Genesis 1:26-27 says, "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over, . . . all the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Man was made like God in the sense that God is a spirit; he possesses a soul (mind). Whereas God has a spiritual body, man lives in a material body (an earth-suit). The Scripture tells us Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (I Thessalonians 5: 21-23).

The WHOLE man is spirit, soul, and body. Where people get confused is that they believe God is a spirit but they do not accurately define what a spirit is. They think God is something like a ghost that you can see through and He floats around in the air and for the most part is invisible. God is a Spirit, He is the Father of all spirits because all spirits originate from Him. A spirit being can either be material or immaterial (invisible).

In Daniel 7:9-14; 10:5-6, 9-19, God is described as a Spirit Being with a body. Other passages describe God as going from place to place in a body. And they [Adam and Eve] heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, (Genesis 3:8). And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded (Genesis 11:5).

These principles which we cannot physically see although we can see the physical effects. Can you see what causes a rain storm, a hurricane, or lightning?

Paul, in the New Testament, speaks of the human flesh and bone bodies in the resurrection as being "spiritual. So also is the resurrection of the dead. It [the body] is sown in corruption; it [the body] is raised in glory . . . It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body," (I Corinthians 15:42-44). If human bodies become spiritual bodies and are still material and touchable, then God and angels can have bodies just as real and still be spiritual beings. In fact, Abraham made dinner for God and two angels and they ate food. "And the LORD appeared unto him [Abraham] in the plains of Mamre . . . and they did eat" (Genesis 32:24-30).

Because everything is based on, or is formed out of spiritual material the rules or principles that govern the spiritual are the governing rules and principles whereby the material world as we know it operates.

If you build a house out of concrete you have to deal with concrete as concrete and not something else like wood. You don’t hammer nails into concrete to make a wall stand up. No, you pour the concrete into a form or mold and when the proper time has passed and the concrete has hardened it will stand on its own.

God the Creator made the universe and then man and placed man on the earth with everything he needed to rule and dominate the earth in order to make it reproduce and multiply.

All life comes from God; apart from God there is no life. You have life, hence there is a Life-Giver. Man was created in the image and after the likeness of God. God is immortal; He lives forever and will never pass away. You are created after the same fashion: you will never cease to exist.

One day God will bring heaven down to earth and all will see it. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven (Revelations 21:22).

Can these statements be trusted? Let me tell you this: It takes more faith to believe in the theories and guesses of man than to believe the Word of God. When God made animals and man He gave each one a different flesh. Evolution says that over a period of time, through mutation (the survival of the fittest), fish scales became feathers, fish became birds and monkeys became men. Can you graft a fin on a bird for a wing or a bird leg onto a snake? The answer is an emphatic NO! Can you transplant a monkey arm onto a human body and have it work? Again, the answer is an emphatic NO!

Can a man live with a transfusion of buzzard blood? No! You would think all of this would be possible if we were all descended from the same source. When all has been said and done what type of flesh EVER turned into another type? What I mean is a fish is a fish is a fish and will always be a fish. Monkey flesh is monkey flesh and it will always be just that, monkey flesh. Likewise, human flesh is human flesh and will always be human flesh. No amount of time can make it be or become something which it is not. God created what He created and it has not evolved in the sense so-called scientist would have you to believe. The basic principle of proving something [anything] scientifically is to be able to reproduce the experiment [or theory]. Once proven, the experiment moves from being a theory to a fact. When has evolution ever produced this basic kind of evidence that all true science is based upon? The answer is NEVER! Never has, never will!

Consider this: When most people of knowledge were saying that the earth was square and you would fall off the edge of the world if you sailed out too far, the Word of God described The Creator of the universe as sitting with His feet on the "CIRCLE OF THE EARTH. It is he (God) that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants are as grasshoppers" (Isaiah 40: 22). This word circle in the Hebrew language of our Bible revealed that the earth was round long before men in general believed it to be so. If God says the earth is round, and it is so, why question His statements about having created the universe?

Here is how it is as laid out in the Bible: Before there was anything there was God (cause and effect: there has to be something to cause something else). God wasn’t just there in the middle of a vast nothingness, He was always ruling in the spirit realm.

The spiritual realm has always been in existence. The spiritual realm is God’s place, the Kingdom of God. God took spiritual material and made the material universe. God took something that was already there, His spiritual world, spiritual building material, and from that He made this present universe that you and I live in today.

Look at it like this: You can’t see the air around you but you can feel the effects of the air such as the winds. But, if you introduced some colored smoke into the air you could then see the air. I am saying that the principle is the same, that when God spoke the worlds into being He just made what was already there
