My All - Farzleen Fadzil Khan
All or Nothing
I don’t want to be
Anything
Anymore
I don’t want to be
Everything
You adore
I don’t want to be
Burdened alone
Or be condoned
I don’t want to be
Cast aside
Arms opened wide
I don’t want to be
Lucid from pain
Angry and faint
I don’t want to be
Glad when sad
Lost is all I had
Behind Steel Bars
Doubtfulness that stands to dissolution
repercussions of solidity tranquils
Remains unforgiven
incurred sense of notoriousness
Despises The Mood to Reinvent
The Most out of the Handicapped
Disembarking on a Safeway to Heaven…
Resuming Dead a Significant
Dosage of Crime
Where the Convicted
Resigns Hope
And convenes to a new route
of standing behind steel bars
and developing new skills to be closer
to his Creator before the End
Been There, Did Nothing
I was there
Was fully aware
Did I care?
Pftt… ask if u dare
I was stern
Wasn’t my concern
Fixed stubborn
Pftt… go ahead, burn
I was clear
Not to stay near
Never to veer
Seeing a tear
I was blunt
Wise up, not run
Was that fun?
Wake up, there’s the sun
Celebrating You!
Child, you’re such a Bewilder
Boisterous at 2, You’re a Gleeful Wonder
A joy to have, to hold on dearly to forever
What was much an anticipated wait
Before you came, I couldn’t hold back pass the hospital gate
Now eyes all aglow, you’re always there for a Playdate
You’ll get up when you’re down
But keep your feet bound solid to the ground
You’ll get there somehow, dream big - It’ll all come around
You’ve been given this life to shape
All it takes is guts, to make not break
That’s the rule of thumb, for His sake
Keep in mind, I will always be near
To steer you clear from woe and fear
Cos I love you to bits, that’s the truth for sure
A Gift to Give
It doesn’t cost a penny
It hardly costs a life
It doesn’t hold you captive
Or make you lose a fight
It doesn’t end all awry
It isn’t a juggling act
It doesn’t build terror
Or let you drown in debt
It doesn’t need permission
It seldom gets repaid
It isn’t something you ponder
Should cruelty rear its ugly head
It makes up for bad times
It often clads you in pleasure
It isn’t just words written on paper
Or a misfortune less to discover
It’s kindness truest to grandeur
It’s gratitude often misread
It’s what you do now or later
It’s giving -
